The drone shots look really professional! It's amazing how you can identify the fossils. I'd just look at it like "yea stone" :D.

Yes I would also say that this is a tibia bone (4:55) 👍🏻 I found a similar looking partial cervical vertebra two years ago (8:21) with just the vertebra body 🙃 I think this is a piece of scapula (16:15) 🤔 Awesome video with gorgeous drone shots and nice fossils, buddy 🤠⛏️

Hi mate, greetings from North Norfolk, those were great finds! The large black crumbly lump is commonly known as a "Dogger log" and is actually from a Mesolithic peat deposit and dates from around 10,000 to 12,000 years old, Although this may sound destructive, it's worth breaking it up carefully as it's the material that the famous barbed antler harpoon point was found in, during the early part of the last century. That particular harpoon point was dredged up by fisherman off the coast of Lowestoft and led to the realisation that there was a lost land where the North sea is now. Of course we now know this to be "Doggerland" which once connected us to Europe. (But then you already knew that)!!

Hi there, your videos are great bud! Iv'e never had much luck when Iv'e gone fossil hunting, but seeing these makes you realise they are out there and to keep trying. I think my best bet would be to go with someone that knows the area.

That would be awesome ironically I am there right now leaving tomorrow work on Tuesday , I do try and avoid people in general lol but yeah if I am not working could be good. I didn't find much I think all the beaches have been heavily picked over especially by those yorkshire fossil brothers and everyone on KZbin, I managed to get a few little bits should be able to get three videos out of it just made one

Need to scoure the jet and see if it’s brown.
@Treasurehunter110013 жыл бұрын
Hi Ethan it did leave a brown line on a piece of paper but after a few hours of drying out it all started popping and breaking into tiny pieces , was I supposed to do something to stop this happening , I guess it was low quality
@ethanhawtin75613 жыл бұрын
@@Treasurehunter11001 hi, if the area you were hunting wasn’t the same age as the Yorkshire area this means that the jet may not be as old and is less mineralised. You didn’t do anything wrong, the jet I pick up at Whitby I don’t treat it with anything. Just a shame I guess 🤷♂️
@Treasurehunter110013 жыл бұрын
That would explain it , probably a lot younger than the Whitby jet
