Norfolk, Virginia (Walking Tour)

This video is a walking tour around downtown Norfolk, Virginia. It is focused around Waterside and Granby street Also a walk through Town Point Park and other spots I tried to keep the video short so I hope you will enjoy it.

The Waterside District is very nice and also Granby street. You can find a lot of good food there for sure.

I worked there temporarily back in 2011/2012 and always thought the street that runs along the boardwalk, with the cool little shops and beach bars was a fun area. Was there in Nov to Mar so it was a bit off season for tourism and much of the entertainmnet was not open. I recall a cool little DQ and the statue on the beach.

I visited Norfork years ago while in college and fell in love with the city. The geography, history, architecture and the beauty of the city was intriguing. It's not overwhelming as some cities are, it's just right. Thank you for a great walking tour of Norfolk. 😎👍

Love this city! Its has come a long ways since the early 90s . The nightlife on Granby street on a Saturday night is pack like NYC

I live in central Va but was born and raised in the 757. When I lived down there I never really got the chance to explore downtown norfolk surprisingly. I'm going to soon.

Consider Virginia Beach as well... I think it's better and the schools there are a lot of good ones to choose from if you have kids

I just think out of the cities around here which would be Norfolk Portsmouth Newport News Chesapeake and Virginia Beach I just think Virginia Beach seems a little bit nicer but there are really great areas in all cities I'm just speaking overall

I never really go downtown there's nothing exciting there for me I grew up in Baltimore City and I know in the past with the Waterside area they were just basically copying what Baltimore did many many years ago at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore

I visited back in Nov 19 (Veteran's Day weekend). I remember the Hilton, crosswalk, and parked at the Main St. multi story parking lot. Saw the Nauticus, U.S.S. Wisconsin, and took the harbor cruise. Went to V Beach for dinner. Next day, took the lite rail to the MacArthur Memorial (tied to park at Sentara, but was ahead I'd get ticketed or towed). Then up to Ft Monroe. On Monday, visited the Maritime Museum (hidden gem) then home. Nice time, stayed at the Navy Lodge. Was pleasantly surprised as I heard horror stories about the traffic. Wouldn't mind coming back for more.

Richmond seems to be more upbeat and vibrant Norfolk is really nice but Richmond has a grit to it like DC and Baltimore.

Norfolk is great if you are a heroin addict, otherwise there’s MacArthur Mall and.... yeah that’s about it. Check out the church street area for the heroin (Right down from the Norfolk Zoo).
