I look forward to your shift+c shift+p skills bring put to use from the Quaran or Torah, when it may suit. Same nonsense, different interpretation.......ion. Or, of course, you could think for yourself. Absolutely terrifying, I know. All of those who do so collapse into a psychological proverbial phlegm and disappear from history into....well, hang on....nope! Those that do, well.....they shape and improve the existence of the human species (usually at the cost of the rest of the world, because we're selfish, conscious pricks), but that's.....coooool, I guess. I like that you're reading 2000 year-old psalms though. At least you're reading something I guess. May I suggest Douglas Adams, just as a laugh, and to get some irony into your life?

@Miles Doyle - Thank you for sharing such an abundant amount of information (more than usual on KZbin, anyways), including and especially your personal experiences, concerning your friend Moses playing with the firetruck as a child while Jesus looked over him with patience and love then to find out that the family had just threw out the same toy that very day, the thankful healing of your sleep paralysis (I have experienced that many of a time, it is terrible), and the strangest most relatable aspect within your personal experiences; the silhouette of someone having trouble using the bathroom and beseeching your prayer... recently, I am experiencing problems in regards to my urination, possessing acute pains, weak flow and occasional painful episodes of blood being presen. I dread when needing to use the washroom - I am scheduled to see a doctor next Friday (due to COVID-19, it takes great lengths of time to book an appointment), and until then, I know my mind will be in the grip of fear, as I have not done enough in my life to achieve even the slightest contented mind-frame. To think that I may have a potentially estimated, known length of how much life I have remaining if it results in something terminal, provides the most overpowering feeling of doom for me. I hope that was not too much information 🙂. At any rate, I appreciate your insights, your learned theological facts, everything you stated made sense in my mind, and I will be looking to reinforce my connection with Jesus Christ, as I was raised in that regard, but admittedly have fallen from faith - although the timing of your message and the medical problem I am inevitably facing, can be creating a perfect storm to reconnect to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, as being lost in a chaotic storm may produce strong faith in the truth of Jesus Christ; it certainly feels like the only path through a tumultuous segment of time. God bless you, my friend. Thank you for your writings, they were incredibly insightful and fascinating.

Some of my favorite Norm moments: pretty much every Conan appearance, which includes things like the Moth joke, his many jokes about his uncles, Chairman of the B-O-R-E-D, Andy Richter the Swedish German, Norm the deeply closeted gay man, the most convoluted joke ever... His Dennis Miller appearances are wonderful too, particularly the one where he comes out and says "cock" like 30 times in the first 2 minutes. He appeared many times on Letterman too. You can tell Conan, Dennis Miller, and Letterman all adored Norm's weird sense of humor. Besides those, The Bob Saget roast using jokes from an old joke book is classic Norm -- including his picking blueberries response to Jim Norton, and his farewell to Letterman appearance shows the human side of him (the bit about Germany repeatedly attacking the world is great... or so the Germans would have us believe....). He was also utterly savage on SNL's Weekend Update. He repeatedly destroyed Frank Stallone, Michael Jackson, and OJ Simpson (his refusals to stop making murderer jokes about OJ pissed off one of the bigwigs at NBC who were close friends with OJ, likely leading to Norm getting fired from SNL).

His persona is so amazing but so hard to describe, but it’s all deliberate. It’s like he thought that conventional jokes were too easy so he found a funny way of delivering non-jokes. Absolute genius

Rotf! Classic Norm! 😆 Every line he said was a potential punch-line. Who else could make stalking a woman, killing and burying her, downright hilarious?!? He is already missed, RIP Norm.

imo the punchline of this joke is "Do that thing that makes me feel like god." Genius.

Hard couple of days. Miss you enormously Norm. RIP. Hopefully he can find Janice in heaven and continue the laughs! My heart aches. His last appearance on David Letterman was brilliant. One of his best stand up bits.

The genius of norm Macdonald is this unorthodox delivery that keeps you off kilter and wondering if he knows where he’s even going with the joke, but the way he talks is an act and his set ups always pay off. Goat troll

Norm Macdonald is an absolute legend. He was truly irreverent, but he delivered it in such an understated way, with that little smirk, that it was all the funnier. Fun fact: he was fired from SNL in the '90s when he wouldn't stop going after OJ Simpson on the "Weekend Update" segment. In fact, when he was told to back off of OJ, he doubled down. A year or so after being fired, he was asked back to host (Norm was promoting a movie or something). The first thing he did was to rip on SNL for firing him, and then went for the jugular with a string of OJ jokes. God, he was great.

With Norm it is always about the delivery, not the punchline. Also I took a shot every time he said "ya know?" Now I am drunk as hell. RIP Norm. You will forever be missed.

RIP Norm McDonald. On this one Norm takes a utterly unacceptable criminal behavior, puts himself in it as the predator and takes you to a hilarious journey loaded with punchlines. His presentation is unique.

The best thing about Norm, at least in the last decade, was he didn't go on with prepared set, he'd just riff with the audience. Saw him live about 5 years ago and he would get the audience to ask or say something and just come up with a joke for that topic. He just had so many jokes in his head there were several for any topic and he could weave these little stories he'd sort of make up on the spot and sprinkle those jokes throughout.
