In this episode we talk to our old friend Katie Leung. At the age of seventeen Katie joined the Harry Potter cast for the fourth film, The Order of The Phoenix, as Harry’s love interest, Cho Chang.
We ask her what it was like to have the nation’s attention as she gave Harry his first kiss, how she dealt with the paparazzi on her doorstep and we reminisce about some memorable nights out at a goth metal club in Switzerland.
Since Harry Potter, Katie has appeared in a series of brilliant films and TV dramas alongside legends like Jackie Chan, Hugh Laurie and Pierce Brosnan. She is also a phenomenal photographer and a passionate trans and women’s rights activist.

Oliver and James' podcasts are the best pick-me-up. As a survivor of sexual assault and mental abuse, I feel extremely hopeful and happy that these people who I look up to support or talk about these things. In school, was always taught that these things were wrong to bring up or talk about; that it was not a conversation that had to be had. When people I look up to support and speak up about something that affects so many people, is often brushed off, or is ignored, it really gives me hope that society is taking a step forward.
