Alice Birch is today one of my biggest inspirations in writing shows for TV and films, I love all her work but what she did with Sally Rooney in the adaptation of Normal People was from another world and went down in history, since then many cheap copies of this work to prove it, the way she is so shy but simply her talent takes her to the biggest television bubbles Succession and Normal People again. In the field of theater, I love all her people, they truly moved me, not in an exaggerated way, but in a profound way, in the field of the seventh art she has great projects with the great star Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth and The Miracle), but that film is still missing that marks your career, I think this could be your directorial debut or collaboration with a great director or in my opinion a great female director would be better, where the protagonists can really elevate the text like her already known Florence Pugh again and Paul Mescal, two of the 10 greatest actors of his generation, both debuted playing texts from Alice.

I saw Anatomy of a Suicide and was blown away at how complex and how beautiful it was. I was in the Dramatic Writing program at Tisch at the time, and I raved and raved and raved to anyone and everyone. Unfortunately, the world shut down a couple of weeks later so...Bleh. But between the play, Succession, and Normal People, this 56 year old from Southern California learned more about writing from this thirty-something girl from (INSERT TOWN) in England than I did in two years at NYU. Great writer. Great interview.

She seems like a fascinating person to talk to! Great work, too!
