Who aligns themselves & befriends, those who carry serious weapons, (=golf clubs, machetes, knives etc), especially when it's one bloke, against 7, 8, or more others? Plus JS isn't a "boy" any more, he is a young Adult. He didn't make "mistakes", but made choices, that were bad & that can have consequences? There is the saying "live by the sword, die by the sword", so if his parents enabled him and/or, ignored his shady, bad choices & actions, then they could have contributed to his downfall, along with his so called friends/acquaintances? Unfortunately his parents & family, have to pay a terrible price, with JS, paying the ultimate one. Very sad!

First response : Even when quite decomposed, skin can be removed and soaked in formaldehyde to stop further decomposition, if the sample still contains clarity in the ridges, it can be rolled onto fingerprinting card as you would take your own fingerprint. If decomposition is further advanced, lead carbonate or barium sulfate can be injected which is then imaged and hopefully identified. (via xray) Second response (I asked if this could be done within 24hrs): Agree on the speculation. Lots of noise and contradiction which is still fueling interest. So, ive a good friend whos a retired forensic scientist. He worked high profile cases in the UK such as the break in at Buckingham palace in 1982 (Michael Fagan) before advancing to audit other forensic labs around the world. We were talking last night about decomposition and factors that influence decomposition rates. How the life cycles of insects and various species can provide timeline indicators ect. In terms of identification, he seemed to think that a body in that climate would be towards the latter stages. Mountainous areas have vast swings in temperature and humidity. If cooler and drier, this would slow decomposition and the opposite if hotter and wet. Position and injury. There are so many variables. Fingertip skin by default is thicker than say your inner elbow ir behind your knee. I work as a landscaper, my hands are thick skinned and full of callous. Jay was a bricky? The "animal" activity is interesting, i know a forensic lecturer, and if it happened as stated, from day one, the activity would be slight, but then gradually would increase vastly, for every day a body is left? a forensic field of view would be paramount, photographing from a distance, up to the deceased. If there was no photograph evidence taken at the scene, one can conclude that evidence is not needed, and cause had already been asserted. Whatever really happened, whether it was an accident or someone else's fault. The tragic thing about the whole story is that Jay should never have gone with these two men in the first place. and the most terrible part is that he lost his life in the process. All I can really say with certainty is that a young life was once again ended prematurely through sheer stupidity, whether it was self-inflicted or not. I hope that if there are still things to uncover in this case, this will happen over time! I hope he didn't have to suffer for long and that, as you said in a previous video, people just start learning to take more care of each other. wherever, whenever! Unfortunately, some mistakes are only made once. My condolences go out to everyone who loved him, who worried about him during this horror month and to everyone who will miss him forever. Call data from Brad Lucy Ayab Rocky and Jays phone . Was Jays phone found with him ? The ex police officer said that after speaking with the 2 British nationals , he believed Jay may have left with 2 knives , where these found along side his body . Also a night or 2 before the “ body was found “ Paul from @downtherapids was awoken at 2am , to all the dogs in the whole of the masca and National Park barking and howling ? The day or so before Chris Tenerife was walking and said this is as far as I can go but there is a stench …. I believe there is so much more to this story . I just hope that once Jay has been repatriated, perhaps the British Police may begin investigating. I feel sorry for everyone affected by the loss of Jay . There is no CCTV or people filming on phones, etc, up there! So even if something did happen untoward to jay 🤔 it is highly unlikely this case will ever be solved. Unless the perpetrators randomly confess. But personally, at a bare minimum, i believe he was running 🏃‍♂️ for his life, scared 😱. I agree 100%. I heard someone on another channel saying that it was all just due to Jay being impulsive and impatient and he just didn't want to wait for the bus. I also remember his friends saying he wasn't stupid and had a fair amount of common sense . So if he was just impatient why not try and hitchhike back along the road? Thing is, it was that tool MWT that claimed Jay felt unsafe. Brad said that Jay wasn't really concerned and was joking around on the phone and only had concern when he put his location on and realised how far it was. However, Brad also stated that they weren't sure it was accurate. So it's likely Jay felt that the distance is due to the zig zagging roads that cut back on themselves with lots of up and down elevation. So he may have felt that going on the trail heading down would be a big short cut. Once he committed to that and noticed the sea, i can understand why he would think making it to the coast would shorten his journey and once at the coast he can't be lost because he just has to follow the coast. It always made sense to me, and others, so it may have made sense to him. And because Brad and Lucy describe him as being alone, and he was in the wrong direction, it's unlikely anybody came running down the valley after him.

Kinda off topic to vid, but not case.... What I don't get about all the searches done by creators, is why did none of them take a drone with them to do a slow search above/near them whilst they had their eyes on the ground? Then they could of uploaded the raw footage for everyone online to then do what we do. I honestly believe Jay would of been found a LOT quicker (if we assume he was there the whole time) if someone had of shared an in focus slow pan of areas, due to the thousands of extra eyes able to assist online. As an agoraphobic, I'm unable to go do these things myself, but I would of gladly spent hours n hours looking at footage just to hopefully help. If boots on the ground are genuinely wanting to help, then wouldn't this be more useful to upload instead of a minute clip with their face covering most the screen? If they're there for monitary reasons (clicks n views = money) then imagine how much more they'd earn going from hundreds watching a clip, to hundreds of thousands watching long form content. Soz for vent, just frustrates me more I think about it

Police failings led to intense speculation about Jay Slater. People were told that a thorough search was conducted spreading from ground zero outwards using dogs, drones, a helicopter, etc. Nobody was expecting Jay to be discovered close to his last phone ping and nor did anyone say they were. He clearly had very strong reasons not to return to the AirBnB, perhaps he had previously watched the movie 'Behind The Green Door'. The only people who could possibly clear this up were unbelievably allowed to scarper back to England very quickly. That chance has gone unless UK Police decide to investigate and we all know how effective Lancs Police are after the Nicola Bulley case. It is possible to be charged here in the UK with crimes committed abroad so presumably, people can be questioned here in the UK about such things.
