I walked today through a garden of weeds, Stood beneath the branches of a silver tree; Saw my recollection in a broken glass, Of ten thousand miles and years in the past. I saw a shrine in the wilderness glade, To a fallen hero a monument lay. Five plastic angels stood guard all around, In that summer rain that fell on the ground. Silver on a mountain, whole hill tall; If I had not see it, I couldn’t believe it all. I saw a house built of one man alone, Glass and paper, tin foil and stone, Looking for a cross with a north river shore, Borderlines those fields of that green valley floor. I saw little stones a long time unturned, Found many answers; there I could learn. Heard many sounds that will ring in my ears; Will long be remembered in my later years. great album .... I have an autographed copy that I bought at a show of his in 1978. I wish I had seen him more, I don't think he tours much anymore. When I say him he, Nancy & James were on their way back from a series of shows in NYC, there were driving an old Bluebird school bus. They were really great.

Thanks for introducing me to this record, the first records of Normans that I purchased were Blackberry Blossom, and Back Home in Sulfur Springs, when they first were released, he influenced me a lot.

Would love to see other cuts from this album on KZbin -- e.g: Medley Over The Waterfall, Opera Reel Medley & Cherokee Shuffle -- great piece. Too bad this album never made it to CD :(
