Looking forward in watching your Normandy videos. Dad was in the 82nd Airborne. When he passed away in December 2007 I spent a day reading a book on the history of the 82nd during WW II. Of course the jump behind enemy lines before the Normandy landings were the highlight of the book. Lots of pictures. The book seemed like a high school yearbook, maybe three yearbooks in size, but very informative. My older brother now has the book. Lucky for me and our family, Dad did not jump on this night, but his pride of being in the 82nd Airborne stayed with him for life. He is buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery across the Hwy from Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. All your videos from Little Bighorn, Battle of the Bulge and even your video of a hockey game back home was fun to watch. Great Job, looking forward in watching these videos. Keep up the good work.

Thanks very much DM. I hope you enjoy your tour of those battlefields. It's been a few years since I last visited there. For me, one of the key attractions was the Radar Museum at Douvres la Delivrande, because my later father was a British WW2 radar boffin and he never got the chance to visit there in person. From his collection of old films on VHS tapes, he once lent me a film that showed the US Microwave Early Warning (MEW) radar being used over the Normandy area during the run up to D-day and the subsequent battles. The MEW was used to detect German aircraft and direct allied strike missions away from them, so that German fighters found it very difficult to engage many allied aircraft.

Looks great! I have enjoyed your videos, and you have put great effort into them. I loved the Souix/ Little Big Horn videos since I only got the basics in school. I'm looking forward to what is to come. Take care and happy hunting!
