It should also be intresting to see different calibers and also other bullets like the alaska and vulcan, the diffrence between like 222 rem and 9,3x62

Very interesting! Keep on testing with bones from other animals, as you suggest. This is more "live" tesing than shooting at just gelblocks. After seeing this, I have more insight in the difference between the bullet types than I had from all the pictures of gelblocks in adds! Keep up the good work!

@@normaprecisonGreat video demonstrating the difference in your bullets but I'd love to see your Whitetail line of ammo in a text. I hunt Whitetail deer in Kentucky USA where my shots are generally less than 100yds, 150 max. I just purchased a couple of boxes of your Whitetail 150gr. At the range they are very good but hoping to find out this season. Thanks for your videos.

Very interesting to see how much energy the Ecostrike passed into the gel block, with perfect expansion and full weight retention. Will there be a 243 version of the Ecostrike coming out. I would like to try it on roe or young fallow. TBH, my 243 with 100gr Oryx drops large fallow, perfectly, every time. Thanks for the video.

Norma always make good informal videos. As you suggested,make som tests with moose and vildbour bones. It would also interesting if you could make som tests with different bullets in 6.5×55 especially the ecostrike that now is legal for heavy game her in Sweden. Thanks again for good videos

Nice that you are make these videos it helps when looking for a new type of bullet I'm thinking of changing from oryx to ecostrike 308 but I'm not sure if it's good enough for elg (Norwegian moose), I'd like to see testing with elg bone and maybe also elg skin and bone together
@normaprecison

Thank you very much! Oh yes the .308 Ecostrike works absolutely fantastic on Moose. The Ecostrike is basically the lead free pendant to the Oryx. On 100 meters the Ecostrike delivers more energy. Good hunting

Tjena. jag har en fråga. Hur långt efter går kulan? efter djurkroppen allså går kulan 500meter eller går den 20meter efter djurkroppen??????? det är ju det som är mest intressant inligt mig...just för kulfång i skogen
@normaprecison

Good point glad you mention this. It’s impossible to answer this in one general answer. So many factors influence the behavior of the bullet. For example body size, point of strike, angle, caliber, barrel length etc just to name a few. The velocity of a bullet that exits is most likely extremely high. 500 meters after the exit is definitely still within the danger zone. Therefore having a proper backstop is crucial. Good hunting 🌿

Very informative video. I would like to see that how the classic Norma bullets like Alaska or Vulkan perform with bone. If it is poible could you explein us how to select bullets weight for any caliber? I think that confused most hunters than the bullets type

Good and interesting video. I used Oryx (9.3x62 18,5 g) on wild boar and I believe it is a very good and polyvalent bullet. Unmatched in weight retention and very reliable expander. I would like to request something from you. In your position, you may be able to test MONOLITHIC COPPER bullets at SLOWER speeds. Every test I can watch uses .308 Win. .30-06, .300 WM, etc. I use 9.3x62 for wild boar, and I would like to see how those monolithic bullets really open up at more sedate velocities. How they expand at close range and then at say 100 m, or even more. Mi Blaser R8 in 9.3x62 pushes a factory loaded 18.5 g. bullet around 685 m/s. At 100 meters, they fly around 600 m/s, and at 200m, around 530 m/s. Do these "green" bullets (Ecostrike) really expand reliably at those velocities? No ammo make ever show those tests... We have to believe... Another cartridge I hunt with is 7x57R, same problem, Muzzle Speed below "standard"... In a few years we might be forced to use them, but I do not trust in the expansion, AND I am scared of the RICOCHETS in driven hunts, as well. The EVOSTRIKE test would be welcome as well, for the same reason... lead banning. Thank you.
