Real mvp of this game was the throuple aka jon, blair, and dom. Properly hid the outsider, causing carley to double-claim not once, but twice, which proved without a doubt she was a minion. Tbh it didnt really matter if ST revived Brooke or Adam since anyone with a brain could figure out that Laurie was the demon after that fiasco. Good game!!

The real MVP was Ben bringing the exorcist back, basically made it unwinnable for the evil team with that, should have left it to a final day of Laurie, Carley and Dom and made the good team pick between Carley and Laurie rather than hand it to the good team

@@harveyholmes9533 - I've only watched the in person games, and this is speaking in hindsight, but the storytellers generally seem to lean hard into misdirecting Good, because Evil usually wins (other than this one and a complete random luck loss). So I'd bet Good would have lost this too without a resurrection (maybe it should have been the Chambermaid though). I genuinely think that was just giving them a chance at all.

Disagree, Adam would've left room for interpretation with a good ol goose-egg whereas Brooke eliminated the doubt by virtue of people either thinking she got the demon right with Carley or being already convinced it's Carley. I think Laurie was the good team's MVP by being too Shabba-greedy with a triple kill via Jon, the better move would've been to get Blair, then Olli, leaving four and giving the storytellers less incentive to resurrect on that night.

For example, a Townsfolk protected by a Monk in a Vortox game learns correct info, because the Vortox causes Townsfolk to get incorrect info.

If the Monk selects the Imp who tries to kill themself, the kill and starpass will fail. (In TB, there will be no night death.) Jon, you really did it. You found, not one, but two people to tell the truth to who told you the truth back. The Fortune Teller Tent Thruple did what the Billiard Boys could not. Very rough for Carley, though, not picking up on the Demon bluffs. I feel like that's something she absolutely would have picked up on in Zoom, where she would have notes. Having the reminder of what Laurie said right in front of her, I'm confident she would have pieced it together to make a valid claim. Instead, Carley wound up extremely unlucky picking three accounted for claims with Gossip, Gambler, and Outsider.

​@@eRON3000 Since Dom was 100% cleared by two known goods the only way Carley couldn't be evil was if Brooke was a minion that was targeted by her demon on day 1. Just extremely extremely unlikely. Also it was impossible for her to be the demon. So actually it was 100% impossible for good to win after Brooke's resurrection. The only two possible demons were Laurie and Carley and they could lynch one and exorcise the other, just like they reasoned out. It was literally impossible for Carley to talk her way out of that plan. Their only hope was good just somehow not realizing this and ... Brooke choosing to exorcise Dom? The village lynching Brooke?! No, actually, there was really just no way. I'm definitely using hindsight here, but this was definitely a storyteller mistake. It just ended the game flat out to bring Brooke back. If it wasn't the exorcist you could hope they lynch Carley, but with the exorcist in play and Dom cleared the game was just over.

I feel Sully claiming he was Professor when he absolutely didn't need to after his death is what did for the evil team. They were sitting *so* comfortably until the Exorcist resurrection happened and caused good to re-evaluate all their thinking up to that point. Laurie just had no out and was basically a sitting duck from that point on. Still a great game though!

Carley is an evil expert-player when it comes to bending truths and general risky moves, but her downfalls often seems to be a lack of communication with her team and coming on too strong out the gates.

That first conversation between Carley and Laurie is brilliant. Laurie is being cautious because he might be a Lunatic so he wants to see what Carley says. And Carley is a Mastermind so she kind of wants Laurie to think he's a Lunatic so that he can say "Hey everyone, I'm the Lunatic, I talked to my supposed minions and they gave me other roles, go ahead and kill me now." Then it's the Mastermind day and all she has to do is not let herself or Sully die and it's an evil win.

I've been watching your videos nonstop for a couple of weeks now and it's brought me so much joy. Yesterday was my birthday, I made a power point presentation of the rules (in spanish) and went through it with my friends, then I storytelled my first ever game of Trouble Brewing!! I was worried at first because it was so much information and maybe they wouldn't enjoy it and have an awful three hours experience. But we actually had such a good time (your classic end-of-game screaming at each other and losing their minds), they asked for another session soon!! She lost because good team played very well, but in honesty, she is the evil player that made the most mistakes, including the one that made the game unwinnable for her team. (I think you can argue Laurie maybe should have killed one or more dead players, or possibly even Carley, instead of the two that he did kill. And you can argue that, once Sully died, he should not have claimed Professor so Laurie could keep that bluff in his back pocket in case someone came back), If she took a safer bluff, she would have had the tiniest veneer of a doubt, or at least a way to cast someone else as a minion. It was a thin shot to victory, but Carley needed to insist she was a good, non minion, and that Brooke was possibly a Mastermind. She gambled too big on her lies and got burned. In closing, I think each evil player made at least one major mistake, but Jon, Blair, and Dom played a hell of a game.

So excited we're getting five more of these :D Some thoughts: Cool to see Isaac back, i feel like it's been a while since he's been on the show; Just noticed Rosie's name in the credits as director/associate producer, I don't think Rosie's ever played BotC (?) but I'm hoping one day, can only imagine the kind of chaotic energy she would bring to the show, but still cool to see that she's doing stuff behind the scenes even if she doesn't want to play; Rooting for Laurie to win one of these!

Rosie has taken part in a zoom episode of BotC that is on KZbin (I, Carley, I, Zombie), in which it is disclosed that she has also appeared in a 2nd episode that had to be cut, implied to be because of technical difficulties.

These sets are so beautiful! It's amazing. The new side rooms are amazing. Love it so much. Wow. And they have so much fun with it too. Isaac trying so desperately to convey to Olli that he's the sailor who drank with him and Olli just... not picking it up until it's just plainly pointed out. 'I do believe you're the chambermaid cause that was so wholesome and sad.' Oh my, poor Adam. xD That worked out badly. Loved Laurie claiming the Sailor (as part of the bluffing they tend to do) and Isaac just shaking his head behind him. So good. The 'you must be drunk, because I'm the gossip' bit was amaaaazing. Loved it so much. Aaaand, then Adam nominates Sully. And he at least seems to feel bad about it. And damn it this time he was right.

I'm shocked Laurie didn't try to play into the Pukka world longer. IMO, the strongest aspect of a Shaboloth is being able to convince the town that it's another demon in play, then make a kill on 4, usually ending the game, if the STs don't resurrect, but even if they do, the town's worlds are usually based on some wrong information, like thinking there's a Pukka or thinking an incorrect gossip was actually true, that they might not still work out on the final day.

@@11th-lemon give the TPI a subscribe on Twitter, they play a few times a week but mainly the ones on a Thursday are when they do announcements. The NRB one was announced 2 weeks ago and last week they announced a convention in USA. (Also on the one uploaded last week to KZbin)

Not sure I agree with the comments (or Laurie's screams) that the choice to bring back Brooke specifically made it unwinnable for evil, as the logic that hanged Laurie and Carley wasn't to do with her or her role, it was based on Dom being provably good and Carley's multiple double claims. It also was unlucky that good chose to off Laurie first, but even that's down to Carley reading as minion. If anything, I'd say bringing one of them back gave evil an (admittedly slim) out, in that there was another option who wasn't demonstrably good they could've tried to pin an evil claim on. Maybe proving the Shabaloth puts good on the right track, but even then, it seems like the same logic would've held if they were down to 3 and thought the demon was different: save Dom because he's good, leave Carley coz she's the Minion, therefore Laurie's the demon and has to die.

This was so excellent!! Everybody seemed so much more comfortable playing in-person and the production felt so much tighter and sleeker. Those establishing shots and set decoration were gorgeous. A phenomenal episode and I can't wait for the rest. Actually had me out of my seat several times. Everybody with a hand in this should be so proud of their work.
