On the other hand, apparently a lot of people weren't even aware of the deads of the regime. That's why axis powers were intelligent enough to do a lot of schooling, through museums and such. Wasn't it called the marshallplan at some point in time? Or was that more of just economics and legislation?

Ah, the hilarity of university assassins' games. When I arrived at university and started playing in 2003, you could send "poisoned letters" with talcum powder in, leave "fake bombs" outside people's rooms (lemonade bottles with large disclaimers on), "poison" people's drinks with chillis or the like, and we also used rubber pellet guns, which basically looked like a cheap airsoft gun but were supposed to be decorated so they couldn't be confused with a real gun. All of these were, in my three-year university career, eventually banned by the society - sometimes of our own volition in a response to wider events (e.g. when there was a spate of drink spikings, that caused us to reconsider our own poisonings) but most dramatically when a group of players with pellet guns were arrested by armed police after a bystander called 999 and that led to the end of that. Good times.

We could bring board games to school on rainy days & a kid brought the Sinking of the Titanic game. Usually by the time you drew Cabin 1, that part of the boat sank so you couldn't rescue that passenger. I've actually played "Kolejka" at school once. We were like, 13-14 I think, and we played it during history classes thanks to a Polish Institute of National Rememberance employee who was visiting schools, promoting this game the year it was released. Yes, it was actually made in partnership with Institute and the idea was to show kids in a fun, non-harmful way how hard was life back then (for example, you get a task card with all the products you need to buy for a birthday party or Mother's Day). It was pretty fun too, though since we were 13-14 years old kids, everything would be more fun than history classes. From what I see at Wikipedia, it even got a Game of the Year reward and I'm pretty sure you can still buy it at bigger game shops and bookstores.
