It only takes one fish to make a fishing video is my rule. Worms are the best bait known to mankind. Beautiful river. You are becoming quite the kayak fisherman.

Adventure Outdoors Thanks, Steve... and, I don’t show the same fish over and over, like some people we know. Lol. The worms work great and I am planning on going again this Friday. I’ll get back into backpacking when the weather cools back down.

Sidney Hornblower Oh yeah. I will know what to do next time. When I pulled out at the boat ramp, there was a guy that had one that was 23 inches long. I wanted to keep the ones I caught so bad I couldn’t stand it, but I was afraid I would get caught. LOL

Lol. I didn’t catch that, “two big” statement, until I had it posted. LOL. They were not under 14” and I had to throw them back. Too big would have been over 20” and I could have kept them. lol.

I don’t fish, but kayaked that stretch one day when the water was flowing pretty fast....I was scared to death! Lol, my teenaged son was with me. He loved it!

I’ve loving the boat. It is pretty neat that I can stand up in it. I don’t like the fish rules. Those fish that I caught were nice eating size. I was so tempted to keep them anyway to eat. Thanks for watching

We dont have a slot limit for rainbows here in Arkansas scott. Now on cutthroat , Brook and brown trout they have to be over a certain leight to keep. But no slot limits. You can keep any size rainbow. The limit use to be 6 now it is 5. So how do you like Trout fishing? Oh Aaron catches those big steelhead, wich is just an over grown rainbow.

When it’s running, you can go down, but wouldn’t be able to paddle back upstream. You can download the TVA Lakeinfo app and it shows when they are running the generators.

Is it possible to go out and come back to the same launch while paddling or is the current too strong?

You could paddle back up if they do not have any generators running. I saw a few people doing this, but be sure to check out when they turn on the generators. I plan on putting in at peach orchard ramp sometime and paddle upstream sometime and then float back down to my car.
