Christy and I just sat down and watched the video together and we really enjoyed it!!! We were trying to see where you were at on the lake, that’s close to where we always go!! How was your Walleye meal after that day on the water? They looked like a decent size for a good meal.

Hey, Mike. Mama Kate was on a trip. I have them in the freezer, vaccuum sealed. We will have a gourmet meal before the weekend.

What's your setup for the bottom bouncers and what kinda depth you fishing?

I mostly use 15 lb braid with a Lindy slip weight and about 5 ft 15 lb floracarbon leader. The Walleye come back out of the river around the 1st of June. You can catch them around 20 ft. Later on as the water gets hot they go deeper. I have some of the old Jet lures that I have added a trailer hook. And I use a spinner. Both rigged with nightcrawlers. Whatever it takes to get a lure in front of a Walleye. Happy fishing Pal

just to narrow it down, which area of the lake do you recommend ?

It's according to what you are fishing for and what time of the year it is. Walleye go to the river to spawn in early spring. Good fishing between bunch hollow and earls hollow. Can catch Crappie there also and Lone Mountain. Early spring. The Walleye start coming to the lake around the1st of June. You can catch them with spinners and night crawlers. I usually fish around Straight creek, but Flat Hollow and Straight branch are all good. As the water gets warmer walleye go deeper. Full moon starting in May, shellcrackers spawn. Lake view is a good place to fish for them. These are the places that are close for me. Lots of good places to fish.
