There is a cave near where I live that the college cave team went in years ago. They said it runs from the southern end of the county, all the way to KY. There was one entrance you could walk in and another that had a 30’ drop to get it. Those entrances were less than a football field apart. However, the landowners have blocked the entrances now.

This is the first and only caving trip I have ever been on. I never said it was blue Spring cave. Do you recognize the cave and is that the actual name of it? The only thing I know is it was on private property. If you do recognize the cave, let me know where it is, because I don’t remember myself, it’s been so long ago

@SalineScott yes Blue Spring Cave, Tennessee. Google it for location. I'm not going to put it on the web. Contact the Upper Cumberland Grotto. The may be able to provide a guided trip. I've seen about 25 miles of the cave. The far reaches are tough. Long 24hr trips mapping.

Very encouraging words. Thank you. I like your fire log. Looks like you can cook on it. Glad you like the ferro rod! It's a Nathan4071 ferro rod sparky stick. And yeah, there is a finish on the handle but if you ever needed it you could use the fatwood in that handle to get your fire going rain or shine. The wax cotton discs.... I must have sent you a pack without the instruction label. They are smokey earthy woodsy scented fire starters. Made of cotton and paraffin wax. Take a round disc and bend it or even break it to expose the cotton. Then light the cotton with your ferro rod. They are just fire starters that smell like a candle shop. Plus they are waterproof.

I enjoy your Kayak videos, Saline. I've been looking at the Jackson Bite myself, though being a larger guy I wasn't sure. It looks like a pretty good kayak all around though without the fancy stuff. Do you still like the kayak and is the seat high enough?
@SalineScott
@SalineScott Жыл бұрын
I am a larger guy myself, so I have trouble standing up in the kayak from being top-heavy. I wish the seat was a little higher, so it would be easier to stand up from the seat. As far is just sitting in the kayak, the seat could actually still be a little bit higher for comfort. I’ll still love the kayak. I looked for a higher seat last year online, but found none. It could be customized though.
