@Curia Regis That which fail to evolve go extinct. This music is amazing, but it's not the music of Vikings, it's just loosely based on it, it evolved. And although I'm Norwegian and this is amazing music it doesn't stop me from enjoying old music from all sorts of cultures. Old style music from the Celt, the middle east, Asia, indigenous Americans and so on is all very inspiring and beautiful. What is mediocre and all the same is the garbage produced by the capitalist market, the real enemy of the people. I'm proud of my culture and my ancestors, and that is exactly why I don't feel threatened in the slightest by the mixing of cultures. Multiculturalism will never erase my culture, only add to it, evolve it. If you had any pride in your culture at all you wouldn't think it could be erased so easily. Instead you'd want to share it and let others share theirs with you so you could both grow and your cultures could be renewed and carried into the future, much like this music. The only thing your ethno-nationalism is doing is ensuring your extinction. Small tribes become large tribes, large tribes become countries, countries become planets, planets become solar systems then galaxies. Want to conquer the galaxy or do you prefer hiding in your little tribe until there are non left of you? Might want to consider growing some balls instead of cowering in your corner, slave.

The reason why this kind of music sounds familiar to us all is that god's energy, our soul, lives forever. We are born and will be reborn again and again. This is happening since eons. The reason we don't remember is to find and create yourself again and again. We were Kings and Farmers, Beggars and Pharaohs, Queens and Merchants, Crusaders and Scientists on every continent a thousand times before. And maybe even on other planets. This is life. And i embrace it.

I can't describe how much I love this. I'm English, but my incredible fiancé is Norwegian and I'm getting ready to get married and move to Norway to be with him. I spend one to two hours a day practicing the Norwegian language, and am constantly aware of a warm feeling in my heart when I learn new words and discover that Norsk and English so closely share the same roots. If you're English, there's a very good chance that you have Norwegian/Scandinavian genes and heritage. Norse peoples came to what is now called England centuries ago, to conquer and to settle. The English names for the days of the week came from them, as do many English place names. Pagan Anglo-Saxons and Norse peoples (and other Germanic peoples) shared the same deities. You're also correct re: some language similarities. Several centuries ago, it was possible for Scandinavians and Anglo-Saxons to converse because their languages hadn't diverged that much. Have a DNA test done if you already haven't. I am primarily Norwegian and German; such a test revealed to me that I also have ancestry that is English, Swedish, Danish and Dutch!

I have my semesters starting from tomorrow and there's this poem by Rossetti called "Goblin Market" which is about two sisters struggling to allay their temptation against the fruits sold by goblin men that are poisoned. That poem allegorically points at the atrocities that some men inflict upon women and how the two sisters survive in each others' company. This song totally gives me that vibe: how women should be there for women when society turns against them. It's not only about women but men also. Fraternity and sorority goes a long way in helping each other out 💖💖💖 thank you Mr. Peter Gundry for composing this 🌸
