we are 2 boats travelling together heading to Killarney and the North Channel next weekend. I've been watching your North Channel series and getting lots of information and very excited about our 2 week trip. I was wondering where the anchorage is on the Benjamin Island at the very end of the part 5 series where you walk up to the top of the rock and show all the boats anchored in there. if you could be more specific as to where that spot is, I'd love to take a picture and have it framed with our boats in that same spot. Thanks!

Hey. Sorry for the late reply. We have been cruising and not as quick on our KZbin response. We are actually just heading back from the North Channel now. The spot is right between North and South Benjamin. It’s the main anchorage. Hope you guys are having a blast!

@@jasonc414 lex wants do see Tobermory. So if we had the right weather window I would consider that too. Hopefully we get to meet up in the North Channel this year instead of just crossing paths

I've boated in Georgian Bay for 30 years. To me, there is no more beautiful place to boat. But I noticed you followed one of my major rules. Always have a gorgeous deck hand. People are so busy watching her, they don't see any screw ups you do. Docking, locks etc. I also saw you let her mess with a screwdriver. You're a brave man.lol. All kidding aside, awesome video.

Thanks for watching Mike! Definitely a good rule to follow lol. Anything that takes the attention from me helps, and Lex does a great job of that! Now that she has mastered the screwdriver, I think it might be on to a buffer this spring. We’ll see.

@@Jumpshiptravel Let her practice on her car or her fridge. Don't want burn marks on the boat. If she reads these and by chance you ever happen to meet me, my name is John Doe. I love all my parts where they are now lol.

@@mikepech1648 hahaha yeah maybe I’ll have her practice on her car first. And if she does read this and you come across us this summer, she usually takes wine as a peace offering. At least that’s always worked for me 🤣

@@Jumpshiptravel lmao. I see you've been in trouble before. Seeing as you have it all figured out, I'll just tell her you put you up to it and save me a beating. ( I are a smart boater I are)

@@mikepech1648 This is Lex, now that I’m all caught up with this little conversation you and Paul have had, You definitely owe me a bottle of wine... both of you. Lol. Nice to “virtually meet” you and thanks for watching our videos!

This North Channel is amazing. So many small anchorage’s to enjoy. Maybe one day we’ll make that trek.
@Jumpshiptravel4 жыл бұрын
It’s truly beautiful up there. You can always charter a boat using Canadian Yacht Charters out of Gore Bay Ontario. They have a couple trawlers in their fleet.

Great video guys, some beautiful scenery. Might just have to make a trip up this summer with the 5th wheel and dinghy to have a look around.
@Jumpshiptravel4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! That’s not a bad idea to bring the 5th wheel up. There are so many places to explore on the dinghy.

Hey, it’s a Tohatsu 9.8hp. Works well for 2-3 people. Anymore and we can’t get on plane.

BBQ Grill Mats. They'll help keep your buns from burning. And still leave grill marks. They work really well. For everything on the grill.

Good idea! Thanks for the recommendation. We will give this a shot this year.

Are the anchorages there mostly mud or is the bottom rock like the islands?
@Jumpshiptravel4 жыл бұрын
There is quite a bit of mud and clay. Some weeds too. Not too hard to set the anchor at all.
