Companies don't need to pass on the tax increase to the people. It's a choice they make .

This isn't necessary true. It depends on a lot of factors like what the market will bear, what the required returns are of shareholders/investors. If a company doesn't meet the required return rates, they can have capital cut and that means people fired and costs cut to make up the difference on the higher taxes. It's not some magic choice in the CFO's office how things are priced.

I have my disagreements with Becky more often than not, but I respect her for putting truth to the context and false pretense that I think the Governor was trying to push. I say this as a millenial who wants more development like housing and infrastructure. But this has to do be done thoughtfully and in consideration of the environment that my children will inherit. Of course though, everyone needs to make a living. There has to be a good balance.
