What's funny is that saying "I challenge jurisdiction" is about as effective as Michael Scott's I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY! You have to make a legal argument proving to the court why the court does not have jurisdiction. You can't just say "you haven't proven jurisdiction to me".

The more the SovCit talks, the more it is on record and the less it will be appealed. Still, the judge could put him in contempt after 3 warnings. That one should have got a couple of them for interrupting the judge and not answering questions. You don't have to give lots of days toward a SovCit since they will continue, so add up "3 days" "another 3 days" "I warned you, 3 more days..."

I don't understand why the police and the courts give these Sovereign Citizens so much time and leeway for what are usually minor offenses. Its almost like they have found a loophole to wast police resources and court time and the judges just let them go because it takes to much time to deal with their nonsense. I say put them in jail until they decide that they want to follow the law and accept their punishment.
@jessirarara
@jessirarara Жыл бұрын
They give them so much leeway because they have to. The judge knows they're being dumb, but they have to follow the same process for dumbasses as they do the people who follow the rules of court.
@davidc1373

I mean they have indeed found a loop hole to waste time. Yes the judge knew that the son cit was just trolling. But he had to be certain the appellate court would also know for sure he was just trolling.

@@davidc1373 I've been to court to fight a few speeding tickets when I was much younger and I can assure you that I was respectful and usually just wanted to negotiate lesser points and time to pay the fine and I was not given the leeway that these guys got. I saw other people with bad attitudes sent to jail. Once I saw a guy held in contempt and sent to jail for wearing shorts and a tanktop. Things have definitely changed. The victim in these cases is the general public who are st risk if they are involved in an accident with these uninsured drivers.
@lusmas99

Exactly, if they would hit them hard and throw the book at them, MAYBE, just MAYBE, they'd see the light and stop their nonsense. I can guarantee going easy on them ENCOURAGES their disruptive behavior.
@tomparker9966
@tomparker9966 Жыл бұрын
@@lusmas99 As some other commenters have correctly pointed out that as frustrating as it is the court has a responsibility to preserve the Sov Cits rights so that they don't have a legal basis for an appeal. It still seems to me that if the Sov Cit is denying their own citizenship and they deny a contract with the Courts authority then they are forfeiting their own rights. Its frustrating to see them treated with kid gloves while they waste police resources and the courts time and show a complete disrespect for the law. I think contempt of court would be a legal charge that allows the court to hold them in jail untill they decide to follow the same laws as the rest of us and certainly the police should impound their cars until they obtain insurance and current registration and inspection. The impounds fees would quickly encourage the Sov Cits to comply with the law. Thanks for giving me sn opportunity to rant. 🤔

@norarivkis2513

Except that they really do have the legal right to challenge jurisdiction, and since jurisdiction is super easy to decide, that isn't the problem. The problem is that they don't realize that "the case cannot proceed until jurisdiction is proven" does not mean 'until jurisdiction is proven *to your personal satisfaction."* It means 'until jurisdiction is proven *to the judge.* So the first time the sovcit brings up jurisdiction, the judge simply rules on it and it's done. The issue isn't that they challenged the court's jurisdiction; it's that they don't accept court rulings -- that one and many others.

I was a wood worker for a classical guitar company. We used many types of wood for optimal tambour, retention etc. The most coveted wood was rosewood. It is an embargoed tree. However, after monsoonal season, the trees are fair game. In India and Brazil,the trees are closely monitored, harvested, sold and poached. These matters are highly contentious, urgent and profitable ☺️ Hence the judge's tone, id anticipate.

The middle of the floor collapsed and was caught on video. Much of the wedding party including the bride & groom fell through the floor and suffered injuries. The lawsuit was interesting. The owner was found at fault for adding the 2nd floor without proper reinforcing.

i found this fascinating article on why Indian courts are conducted in english: In India, there are 25 High Courts and 22 official languages recognized by the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution but still, the use of the English language is prevalent in the High Courts of India this is because as per the provisions mentioned in the Article 348 (1)[1] of the Constitution of India, Official Language for all the High Courts in the Country is English. this is fascinating to me - although hindi is designated as the "official" language of India, courts still use english. this is a concern because in many regions of India, neither Hindi nor English is widely used and therefore understood. So the courts have the option to use regional dialect in these cases. fascinating.
