North Devon | One of the Best Beaches in the UK- Woolabombe Beach | Motorcycle Road Trip

Our first full day in Devon and after a superb breakfast at The Little Kitchen in Plymouth, Monika and I headed off 2.5 hours directly north, all the way up to the north coast.
We started at Woolacombe Beach- widely regarded to be one of the best beaches in the UK (some outlets even mention it as one of the world’s best beaches!).
After that, we headed north east along the coast to the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth; a couple of beautiful seaside towns that sit side by side. The coastal road running east from Lynmouth is stunning- I hugely recommend it! Oh and the perfect way to end the day, or just to relax, is the Cliff Railway Cliff Top Cafe in Lynton, with stunning cliff top views directly over the sea.

RTPs have lower gearing for town riding. As well as the panniers being slimmer, they are top-openi g and can be accessed from the saddle. They're also mounted further forward for better weight distribution. I run a 2011 oil-cooled twin-cam - a bit lighter than Barney. Boxers use a bit more oil; typically 100ml/1000 miles. Great video! 👍

Loved this video! I actually live in ilfracombe. 10 mins from woolacombe. It’s my favourite beach. So blessed to live in north Devon. Been watching your videos Freddie and they are great and helpful. Woolacombe is about a 20 minute ride from me and I work minutes away from that fuel station. In fact you fueled at my usual pump. I really appreciate where I live. I just got back from a ride to Woolacombe and came through Croyde on my way home. You must be slightly jealous because I'm actually getting a c90 soon just for the country lanes. Great video

Several places not included in this video. Morte Point is a great hike from the village of Morthoe. Rock promontory like the spine of a dragon points out to sea. Seals can be seen lounging on the rocks. Ilfracombe promenade and harbour definitely worth a visit. Wildersmouth Beach has a 10ft tide and provides the opportunity to get up close to rocks of the Devonian period. Just outside of Lynton is the Valley Of The Rocks. Most stunning coastal cliff path I've yet seen. And plenty of goats. The Pack Of Cards Inn in Coombe Martin is an interesting pub. Lymouth beach is the result of past flash flooding down the valleys. Lynton down to Lynmouth is super steep. Lots of other places worth visiting along that coastline. But can be expensive and parking difficult during busy times. When I drove back on a bank holiday I passed a 40 mile queue of traffic across Devon and Dorset.

I've been to Woolacombe beach. A long time ago. Devonian girlfriend at the time. Good value guesthouse. Been to those two other small places, too. Beautiful area. This is your best jacket. I wish I'd kept by Bikers' Gearbox Brando. That camper van at almost 39K is ludicrously priced. In fact, they all are. Yeah, who wants kids? Thoroughly entertaining video.

Bloody hell Freddie, Its like you're stalking me! I go to Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, The Orwell Estuary (You missed Pinmill and Flatford btw!) then 5 days later you post a Vlog of them.... Wonderful video as always. I finished day one of my MSF basic rider course. Today is day two. Much harder than I thought it was going to be coordinating clutch and throttle but I'm having so much fun. Can't wait to pass and get my license so I can become one of the Triumph tribe.

Fantastic! I found it very hard too- it took me about three months after passing to become "fluent"- ie not think about every element (brake, clutch, accelerator etc). It just gets more and more fun. I wish you the very best of luck!🙂
