Leave the crowds in the South and come explore Northern Iceland via the Ring Road. We loved these places as much or more than the ones in the South. Here are some of the places we visited:
Kalfshamarsvik - Amazing basalt columns and lighthouse
Vidimyrarkirkja - One of the six oldest churches (with turf roof) in Iceland
Arctic Henge - Huge sundial built from basalt rocks
Husavik Whale Watching Boat Tour
Husavik Whale Museum - My favorite! It has lots of real whale skeletons!
Godafoss Waterfall - Thundering waterfall with the history of how it got it's name
Hiking to the Arctic Circle
Grafarkirkja - the OLDEST CHURCH in Iceland
