St. Maries, at the confluence of the St. Joe and St. Maries Rivers, is another of North Idaho's historic logging communities turned recreational paradise. Throughout the modern city you'll see reminders of the early 1900's when steamboats were a major source of transportation, and the rivers were the only way in and out of this pristine wilderness.
