NORTH JETTY Bolivar Peninsula Fishing.... (tough bite)

Thanks for joining me on another one of my random adventures!!!!
Today was a great day for my channel. I brought the Man the Myth my Buddy Easton "the galveston raised" Hathaway out the the jetties and we had a blast hiking out on the jetties and getting to know the spot. I know that I need bigger gear now and much more water to drink lol.... but all in all I had a great time doing what I love doing. I will find out one day what almost spooled my line out. Saving those stranded turtles was my highlight of the day.....

I literally just did it again today. Lots of feet pain just for hard heads... the water was so low!!!!! My wife hooked into something giant. One day we will land that something that keeps breaking us off. Thanks for watching 🙏🏽

The North Bolivar jetty has been, for the most part, been devoid of specks and reds for 30-40 years. If you have a boat, go to the Galveston jetties. I have no idea why, but it’s true. Even better, go to the Sabine jetties on the Louisiana side with live shrimp when there’s been a lite NW wind for a few days when you have an outgoing tide.

not often, especially after the freeze we had here in texas. I rather not keep much even if its edible for now... the freeze killed many fish. Thanks for watching mom!!!!!!!!

That's not a hammerhead That's called a bonnet head. They look like a hammerhead but they're not. Thats a big one to. That's the biggest one I've ever seen. They can get from 30 up to 59 in period and weigh up to 24 lb

Do you fish at the jetty right off the ferry, port bolivar side? A lot of black drum out there. Some sheepshead and red in season. If you ever fish there, could you get a measurement of the walk way for me? There's like a flat walk way and the sides have rocks that raise up. I'm from Dallas but fish there whenever I go to Galveston. I'm trying to make a platform to carry a cooler. TIA
