While the United States has the ability to stop SOME of the missiles, he has so many that we would not be able to stop all of them. this is absolutely not a laughing matter. Here’s some facts about missile range: North Korea’s longest ever ICBM test (Jan ‘24) - 620 miles. China’s longest ICBM test (Feb ‘23) - 1,300 miles. USA’s latest ICBM test (Sept ‘23) - 4,200 miles. That does not take into consideration targeting! China has struggled to fire missiles that reach Taiwan for over 20 years! They try all the time & fail continually. They can barely make a layup while standing underneath the basket. Hypersonic blah blah blah. Doesn’t matter how fast you go if you can’t hit the target. Meanwhile, the US has been draining 3 pointers with their eyes closed and one hand tied behind their back the entire time. The US successfully hit targets past a range of 1,000 miles in the early 1960s. One must realize that at the end of WW2, the USSR took the majority of the Nazi scientists with expertise in rocket propulsion. (It’s partially the reason they got up to space sooner than the US.) The US and NATO have the most advanced targeting systems on the planet and they can travel further than other missile systems. The Russians (the remaining communist nations & all their allies) take a quantity over quality approach. At the end of the Cold War the Soviets had approximately 89,000 nuclear capable missile systems. They went broke in the process. They hoped one would hit Washington, but knew all of the Americans would hit every city, military & industrial target in the former USSR. If the Cold War went hot they knew they lost before it would’ve ever started. Conclusion, the day North Korea & China can accurately hit their targets from 10k miles away is the day people really need to be worried. If they had the ability they would go out of their way to demonstrate it to the world. Instead, they repeatedly fail for the entire world to see. Go to sleep in peace knowing you will not disintegrate overnight due to a mutually assured destruction nuclear war policy.
