The learning curve will be the end of the Norks. By the time they know what they're doing, the war will be over. I witnessed this Tet of 68 as a Rifleman with 5th Marines. The 27th Marines were re activated to replace the 5th in Danang as we were being moved to Phu Bai. They used flashlights on trails at night on patrols. Was not they're fault, hastily formed up. Learning curve was hell for them, Semper fi.
@PRC53314 күн бұрын
That was my thought too. It's doubtful the N Korean doctrine has addressed the challenges of operating in a theater where FPV drones exist because even the people using them are constantly learning and adapting. This was likely their standard procedure to create a casualty collection point in a place they likely assumed was somewhat safe (it was probably out of artillery range).They are learning the hard way that even small formations are valid FPV targets given how numerous they are.

Idk, maybe someone can explain but it’s very hard to believe this or that they are even fighting in the first place.

As a former PSYOPS soldier, I have had a lingering interest in the power and methods of Propaganda, both historical and contemporary. As a result, I have managed to view some North Korean movies and can state confidently that North Koreans are indoctrinated to the belief that their soldiers are superior to those of any other Army, particularly in morale, willpower and discipline, and that they would, invariably, run roughshod over any opposition. The harm that this war will have on that mythology and overall morale of the North Korean armed forces is incalculable, which makes me wonder if any of them will actually be repatriated after their participation is concluded. And yes, that includes even the most indoctrinated and loyal officers.

With you being a former psyops guy what do you think of the idea that those soldiers are Buryat Russian soldiers and that Ukraine and the Biden admin have detected this movement months ago from the Russian eastern military district and they leaned forward in typical democrat/Zelensky fashion to paint a narrative to justify the long range missile strikes in Russian and to somehow discredit Russia. This would explain the Ukrainian front line soldiers annoyance at the NK claim, the Russian dismissal of the idea as "a fabrication", the months devoid of evidence, the previous contradictions between the UA MOD and the Pentagon/NATO officials and the observation that soldiers from the eastern military district (mostly Asian) have recently been deployed to the combat area of Ukraine.

@@PRC533 did they take the area they were tasked to? They sure sent enough men.

My bet is Ukrainian intelligence lined them up to take video and pictures to send to Pyongyang and give to transmit to North Korean officials working in consulates in NATO countries to try to cause Kim Jong Un to pay a political penalty to backing Russia. It will make it less likely Kim sends more troops. It will also shake the confidence and moral of senior North Korean military leaders that see or learn about this.

What are the dates of these activities, sometimes I smell so much recycled news mixed with very very old battlefield news

Come on dude, you should know that trying to integrate green foreign troops into a major battle with your own experienced troops is militarily ridiculous.....The whole NK troops thing is nonsense...assuming the Russians are incompetent is underestimating your enemy.

Looks like training an army to mainly perform military parades isn't good enough on the field.

what year is this that infantry troops are running across huge empty fields towards the enemy, in daylight, knowing drones are up? is this 1919? LMAO US troops would never fight like this it is amazing to me that they are fighting like this, really shows how they value human life

Nam Vet in Old Ukraine here - every combat vet should know that some fire fights are won and some are not - maybe they are N K, maybe Ukies, maybe Russians - maybe an old video being used by the Ukies , that are very into propaganda - strictly paid for the Americans or Israelis. But very good synopsis of the situation on the whole. - спасибо

NK was too accustomed to oppressing unarmed people. Different ballgame when facing armed soldiers.
