It was really bad this year for the increase in rubbish. Also you are one of about a handful of people I've seen walking down that road @3:03, 100% all that rubbish was cars.

Yep, there are very few people walking on that section. You can put your money on it being litter dumped/tossed from cars.

Sickening isn't it. We have the same if not worse problem down in the home counties. Keep documenting it and keep up the good work. Hopefully you can shame the council into action

Thank you, I will do.👍

Why should the council take responsibility for cleaning up other folk's rubbish? This attitude is all wrong. If people want to live in a shit hole, let them. It pisses me off that littering is nearly always blamed on councils for not clearing it up. Get the people who live there to have some pride in where they live and go on a series of Litter Picks. The council would pay for the skip hire. That's what we used to do back in the day. Kirklees Council were very accommodating. Don't know about now, but on in the mid to late '90's they were very good.

@@philholdsworth8280 Why should the council take responsibility? It's their legal duty to do so. They are charging you money through your council tax to go towards this. As for many of the places I've reported, no-one actually lives there - that's why they are a magnet for fly-tippers. As I said in the video, I do go out and clear some of these sites, on my own time and on my own money, but this problem is WAY bigger than I or a handful of concerned citizens with limited resources could hope to handle. www.gov.uk/guidance/litter-and-refuse-council-responsibilities-to-keep-land-clear#:~:text=water%20companies-,Land%20councils%20must%20keep%20clear,accessible%20(with%20or%20without%20payment)

@@AirdrieRambler I still don't agree here. Legal duty my arse. I abhor littering it pisses me off. I live in an urban conurbation and fly tipping happens all the time, in particular illegal grow detritus. Its a problem, but I don't think the council should clean it up. It's a fucking horrid job. Council disposal sites should be open to small businesses and a blind eye turned to grow disposal. To have people pick up other people's shit is not good.
