I have the Ruler of my Ascendant (Venus) conjunct Ketu in the 9th house. Learning the traditional interpretations of the Nodes from Vedic astrology and astrologers like Austin Coppock, Acyuta Bhava Das and videos like yours Maren totally opened my eyes and made complete sense to me. First time in my life I have been aware of this perspective of the nodes and it actually answered a question I had just today about my n.n. & what I have felt like I’m always supposed to be striving towards! (Again) Here’s a little back story: I am very familiar with and have been for years of my south node tendencies in the 12th H (Libra). It was only in 2021 that I came into awareness of the unfoldment of my north node in the 6th H (Aries)! I had never been obsessed with exercise like that year. In fact, I always despised exercise. I went through a major breakup end of 2020, hit the gym Jan. 2021 to purge emotions, fell in love with all the phenomenal results: confidence through the roof, tons of energy, empowered masculine drive and amazing physical results of losing 30lbs! I got a new tattoo, made new friends, partied my heart out that year, ended up fronting a cover band, creating my own digital art through my own modeling and photography and selling merch, got involved in other stuff online to celebrate my new identity and make money etc….I hit an INSANE HIGH NOTE…in my life like never before!😍(Total late bloomer story) AND THEN . . . it basically ALL came crashing down around me when I started overindulging in past SOUTH NODE habits! 😭 Everything seemingly vanished and all I was left with was a shitty partying habit, toxic friends, weight gain & utterly torn apart by a lover that year. It was an exhilarating year but it was til THIS video that I now understand that I’m never supposed to strive for all that again…but to realize that is what my north node looks like on steroids and if I want all those benefits again minus the darker side of it then I absolutely have to practice Temperance vigilantly next time! Balance is huge for me. I’m either all spiritual and out of body OR I’m super down to earth, in my body and striving for worldly achievement! 😂 Obviously, I’ve always believed moderation for me is important but I’m a Scorpio rising and I LOVE connecting the dots and I totally get the nodes now thanks to you! Thank you for that epiphany Maren!♥️

I notice that I resonate more with my north and south node placements in sidereal astrology instead of tropical. In tropical, my north node is in the 6th house with south node in the 12th. However, in sidereal my north node is in the 7th house with 1st. I love comparing between the two systems. I absolutely loved your video. Thank you for sharing 💕

This video was well put together. I am a student of Christopher Warnock's and on lesson 13 of 15 of his intensive Astrological Magic Course, then I'll take his natal astrology course. I also just signed up for Deborah Houlding's Horary astrology course that I start in March of 2021, that is based in the UK. I find the Latin & Arabic Picatrix books, and traditional astrology to be very fascinating. I also have my Sun applying to a conjunct of the North Node. In my particular natal chart case both are in the 3rd house. I just subscribed & liked.

I am south node sag north node gem and i could never understand why astrologers would shame the south node and say that you are suppose to be your north node when i cant be something i am not. North node in Scorpio 1st house conjunct my ascendant and pluto. 🙃 I have long struggled to really grasp an understanding of my nodes because depending upon where I go some say I'm Scorpio 29 degrees some say I'm Sagittarius 0 degrees. I have gone mostly off of vedic and relate highly with Scorpio Taurus axis with the 1st/7th house axis. I have definitely had a tendency to rely on my relationships even though I deeply desire complete independence to the point of isolation. I constantly want to prioritize myself but struggle to actually do so I always end up doing things for others and putting myself last which creates frustration. I find i also have a tendency to want a relationship in an idealistic way but in reality I can't stand being in romantic partnerships at all and usually find as many faults as possible just so I can escape them. 😬 I've been working on finding balance but it's been a struggle with slow progress.

glad this helped you, Dionne! as for critical degrees, i don't necessarily use them as indicators of more intensity than other degrees - they're more "critical" in the way that they are the tail end of a sign and about to suddenly switch :) however, what IS indicative of your nodal axis being being more focal is that you have your sun + venus with your NN (if i understood you correctly) and your moon with the SN

Hmm. I was definitely told that in this life time you should head towards what your north node says, and be wary of getting too involved with your south node. I have been studying astrology quite a lot the past few months- not only to better understand myself, but to find a more clear path to my "purpose." I have north node in my third house in Sagittarius, south node 9th house in Gemini. Finding my destiny in my north node never quite felt right, so this video was definitely helpful. doesn't really have much significance! the calculation that represents the nodes will almost always be retrograde but sometimes go direct, but since it's just the mathematical sequence, it's not inherently meaningful ❤️

One of the free astrology chart website is saying that I have a Saturn trine my north node, north node and opposed to mu Venus and Mercury. Although that website does not deal with South Node directly I can figure out the Venus and mercury are opposed to north node then Venus and mercury must be conjunct south node. Say there are no trines or squares for nodes and I would guess that I can jump from there to be no oppositions either.

I don't know if you'll see this comment or not, but I have been getting into astrology and I am beyond intrigued. My north node is actually a very easy energy for me to be in, especially because it is the same sign as my sun and rising (Capricorn- I have 6 planets in Capricorn overall). But my south node is the hardest side of me to tap into, which seems to go against how the north and south node integrate into our lives? i would delineate this as perhaps a tendency to depend on the resources & support of others, even if is not substantial, as paving a path of your own resources may feel very vulnerable & overwhelming. there is great potential for cultivating a true sense of abundance from within when the internal work is done. ❤️

Your MC (midheaven) is always on your tenth house cusp (house of career/public image). Depending on the sign its in, you should find its ruler in one of the houses which will tell you exactly what kind of career field/occupation you might get into. E.g. Sagittarius midheaven with Jupiter in the 7th house means you might get into politics and work with others. I hope that clears things up for you

You may be the type to treat your workspace as your home and co-workers as family, or you could be working from home. Careers might be related to psychology, family law, social work, history, family heritage, real estate, etc.

This is very interesting. I used to use Placidus system without knowing its one of the most inaccurate. Changed to whole sign but also looking at poryphry (I’m probably not spelling either right but oh well lmao) . When using whole sign my nodes changed from the 4th/10th axis to the 5th/11th axis NN in libra (11th) conjunct my Venus and SN in Aries conjunct Saturn 😮 excited to look into this in a different way as I had been seeing this entirely differently before.

My moon is in Gemini (3rd house) and my moon north node is right on the cusp of my 9th and 10th house. It literally seems to be directly in the middle of Sagittarius (10th house) and Scorpio (9th house). I cannot begin to understand what that means. Lol!
