The one's hating have 100k jeeps and only go on small puddles and dirt trails, their jeeps are always clean, they know their jeeps are superior yet never take it to the full potential. Meanwhile a real off road lover has a old jeep and takes their car to extreme off roads while respecting any vehicle that has been customized to off road. (Like this renegades)
@MicDropBBQ3 жыл бұрын
@@basicbodybuilding that's real talk brotha. And the real joke is when I see people that own Wranglers that still pay RENT trying to laugh at a Renegade owner that pays a MORTGAGE. 😂 The joke is right over their head. All those mods in that Wrangler but can't come up with a deposit to buy a house...parking in an apartment complex, but sitting online trying to CLOWN somebody that's truly doing a lotta better in real life. That's the actual joke. LMAO! A Renegade is capable of getting to remote places like a Wrangler, so that's all I see. The utility behind it and the fact that they won't suffer a death wobble that will cost $2,790 to fix. Our Wranglers (especially the 2018) has more recalls than any vehicle I've heard of. Im proud of my 2011 Wrangler, but I wouldnt go so far to make it appear that Im a better person because I have one. Kinda sense does that make? Some people tho, brotha. I've only owned one since Sept 2019, so I never got on board with the "hating other Jeep models". Makes no sense to me.

Hello Andy, I just subscribed after I found your channel. I have a 2018 Renegade Latitude 4x4 that I purchased in Jan.2018. I have ZERO mods at this point, but I am interested for both aesthetic and performance appeal. My question is...since I have 18 inch wheels, do you recommend going down to a 17 or 16 inch wheel?? Or should I get a 3 inch lift with massive spacers?? In any case...does it affect the perfomance of the computer/ odometer significantly? How about fuel performance? This OCD pet peeve of mine has really affected my decision making. Haha Thanks, Blake
@Reediscovr4 жыл бұрын
Blake Rincon your speedometer will only change if you change the overall diameter of the Tire. Bigger and heavier tires will change your fuel economy but shouldn’t change it too much. We saw only a 2mpg difference on Arctica. Personally I prefer having more sidewall on the tire for off-roading which on the the renegade can only be achieved through a smaller wheel. It’s been a few months since we’ve released a video. We have a few videos planned over the next few weeks. A product install/review, couple of maintenance videos, and a Offroad video for a product we are testing. Stay tuned as they should start rolling out again here soon.

5:18 I don't have to wonder ... jeep Renegades are NOT OFF-ROAD VEHICLES, they are SUVs. In Germany, all TÜV inspections are carried out before they are installed. I had chassis from Australia installed on my Jimny FJ OME (Old Men Emu) .. I am very satisfied with it, very comfortable and stable at the same time! I also drive brutally off-road. had read a report ... VW Bus T4 syncro drove from Germany to Mongolia ... The shock absorber was overwhelmed! . I think it was also from Bilstein ... He admitted that he was driving too fast and driving long uneven roads for hours .. instead of 50 km / h only 20 km / h ... Mongolia was so cruel. I would say it can happen to anyone, it depends on the driving style. Greetings from Germany

Funny you should say that, the factory renegade struts have held up great. It’s the aftermarket Bilstein struts, that are marketed as Offroad struts, that keep failing. We’ve had Bilstein products on other vehicles and they’ve been great. They just really missed the mark with the renegade and refuse to update the design.

@@Reediscovr Probably the off-road missions have not gained any experience .... that's true for the road they are top. if i were you take another brand. I have OME ... maybe you will find something there.

The only way a strut can bend like that is if there is another issue in the front end.. or crappy design from jeep. The “A” arm or lower control arm “HAD” to move in order for that to happen , it is impossible not to have . The strut is not supposed to add any strength to the suspension only to dampen its movement the upper and lower control arms are the structural strength of the suspension not the strut.. kinda harsh doing that to a company when ot is not at all the fault of the strut ,but in the jeep itself .. Bilstein is one of the top manufacturer of shocks in the world along with OME ,King, teraflex and fox.. it is probably happening on Renegades because you are doing things with them they were not intended to do and they have weak front ends on them from the factory causing this …
@Reediscovr2 жыл бұрын
I’ll agree with you about Bilstein being one of the best companies out there, that’s why I run their shocks on my Gladiator. My problem is they released a part that they marketed as an “off-road performance part” and they can’t handle light trails. The problem isn’t with the design from Jeep, because we have literally run these two Renegades side by side on a variety of different trails. We have not had a single issue with the factory shocks, however the one with Bilsteins has gone through 3 fronts and 2 rears. There is a design flaw that they refuse to correct, and I will tell anyone and everyone to look past these for this particular platform. -Andy
