North Wales Roadtrip | Anglesey & Snowdonia | Van Life Wales

Hello, hello, hello! We’re here with another episode in our UK travel series and this time we’re very excited to be hitting up a new country...HELLO VAN LIFE WALES!
In this video, we begin our Welsh road trip in the North, making our way along the coast & over to the stunning Isle of Anglesey for some beach time. We then head back over to the mainland & into the depths of the gorgeous Snowdonia National Park.
There’s beaches, castles & mountains galore. Good weather, bad weather & park up drama. Oh & we may or may not get locked out of our van, but you’ll have to watch to find out what happened there!

One of the things that irritates many of us in Wales is the lack of effort many make when it comes to pronouncing Welsh place names. No such fears in your video! You’re pronunciation was spot on! Haha yes WD40 is magical stuff, although our lock guy told us it’s really important not to use the normal stuff on locks as it actually attracts dirt and grit so we were glad we called him and got the advice to make sure it was the PTFE lubricant version! That’s really lovely of you to say, much appreciated 😊

Yeah the scenery is just incredible, definitely a great place for your lost when you return! We were so happy to get the lock sorted as well, driving around with a key sticking out and using that hatch definitely wasn’t something we could have done for any longer 😂🤣

I've got same type of locks as you and especially rear lock picks pretty well rain & muddy water... Yours might also work better when regularly oiled using gun oil. I've used such in a spray can, with rag use liberately to push all dirt out, you're golden when only clean oil is dripping from lock.

Yes we found out afterwards that you’re supposed to clean them regularly, roughly once a month, to keep the dirt and grit at bay. But we’ve actually just had the lock looked at properly and the main culprit was a small piece of insulation that had tangled it’s way around the mechanism! It’s working beautifully now though and we’re cleaning it regularly, thanks for the advice 🤗

We love Kinging It, not sure even they could help with our Welsh pronunciation though 😅 You probably won’t believe this either based on the video, but Sarah’s gran was actually half Welsh! Clearly none of the language skills filtered down. Yeah it was a real shame about the coaster 😫

Wales is extraordinarily beautiful, like many parts of the UK. Unfortunately, unlike England, parking and anti car/Van politics is a extortionate money making exercise with the bs about climate change. This is a stick used by the bonkers welsh government (Labour). I have lived in Wales for many years, you used to be able to go anywhere without the parking nazis coming for you. I can only hope that gradually enough people will be so fed up with all the terrible rules imposed in Wales, that that awful man Drakeford will loose his seat as leader of a very much hated welsh Labour Party. Please travellers in Wales, make your opinions known about this war on vehicles in Wales. Having travelled the world also, I can spot a police state from a mile off. Wales at the moment is unwelcoming in some respects.
