Were you referring to the LS&I 1801 at Eagle Mills Junction? If so, yes! That old Alco was definitely showing its age! Thank you for watching the video.

Oh, very neat! You were definitely in this video’s coverage area. Lots of great railroading in the Upper Peninsula back in those days... We appreciate the comment.

The classic ALCo RSD-12 and ex-Santa Fe RSD-15 units put on a smoke show for Dan Hadley back in the day!
@CVisionProductions110 күн бұрын
Yes, they really did! Those engineers seemed to be good sports about it too. They knew how to make smoke for the camera. Thank you, MJ!!!

Some excellent backwoods railroading! We're pretty fortunate that Dan didn't miss much. I'm glad he took the time to get a few CNW trains up there. It would have been easy to skip that with the other cool stuff he was grabbing, not too mention SD40-2's would have been a drag compared the CNW Alcos from a few years earlier.
@CVisionProductions110 күн бұрын
Thank you very much, Joel! Mr. Hadley seemed to be very in tune with his railroad subjects. As you said, he didn’t miss much. His work has aged quite well. As always, we appreciate the comment.

Any videos of the past from central New Jersey? Awesome video of spots I see today.

We do have footage of New Jersey Transit’s U34CHs that we intend to use eventually. There might be a bit more from New Jersey in our archives as well. Thank you for your interest in our videos.

Take you for posting, love the RSD-12's and RSD-15's! Btw- are the high hood RSD's dual control stand equipped?
@CVisionProductions110 күн бұрын
You’re very welcome! Thank you for taking the time to watch. Regarding the possibility of dual control stands, we’re not sure on that. Maybe another viewer will have the answer?

That is truly special! We were hoping that these railroaders would be recognized by our viewers. Thank you for letting us know that you spotted him. The Wisconsin & Michigan was a neat operation, and it seemed like the employees did their best to keep it going. We appreciate you watching the video.

The lack of 3 step and going in-between during some of those switching scenes makes me wince a bit in horror lol. Sure used to be a lot different on the railroad back then, its neat to see it preserved on film.
@CVisionProductions116 сағат бұрын
You got that right, Eric. It was a different world. Railroading was probably a bit more fun back then, but there certainly was a lot more risk involved. Thank you for watching and commenting.

I like at 10:05 how the one conductor cuts in front of the other, as like he does not know how to do his job!! Then nails him in the, you know what! And then the creeper guy at 14:20 in the caboose. Ya guys sure didn't cover much of the WC...Sadly
@CVisionProductions110 күн бұрын
We included all of the WC footage that was found on the raw tapes for this project. We’re just happy that Mr. Hadley made it a point to cover the Wisconsin Central so early in their existence. There’s still another full WC video in the works, so please stay tuned for that.

44:30 Totally do not blame the ES&L for putting that up. I'd do the same if a bunch of foamers stole items off my Baldwin Sharks. Too bad it's still prevalent among foamers stealing horns and number boards regularly today.
@CVisionProductions111 күн бұрын
That was a sad story. There’s always going to be a few bad apples that spoil it for the rest of us. We assume that tensions have eased since then. Thank you for watching the video.
