Great old house jack. I would restore & use it. 18:17 Old wood bit from a brace and bit set. The top end shape gives it away, as does the cutting end. Could date back into the 1800's. Collectors item, as they are hard to find now for my two brace drills. Too bad on finding the shells.

The drill bit is for holes like to put door knobs and such. I have a number of them , they should have measurements in them. The piece you pulled prior may have been a manual drill

That auger drill bit thingie is what they used to open cask ale barrels in a pub before electricity.. Originally it would have had a horizontal wooden handle across the top.
@HannibalFan5218 күн бұрын
I believe your droll bit is for making large holes in wood for things like pipes and wiring, instead of making holes for screws.

I've found large projectiles like those while hiking in a National Park in the states. When I reported my finds to the rangers said that there are hundreds of them in that area. I went back with a retired military veteran and he showed me which ones had the detonators removed. Think I'd just lower those back into the water and move on.

Where there’s muck, there’s brass and where there’s bombs, there’s blasts. So be careful out there kids. 😉

The Wood Drill bit would be used in a brace, that is why the shaft is square.

Carpenter drill bit that would be used in a Stanley belly brace, the chuck only had two jaws. I used to take my old Dunkirk Little Ship up the Thames as far as Maple Durham, couple of times dropped anchor near mid stream. Pulled up a piece of cast gutter pipe first seeing my legs went all funny, then noticed one end was jagged and hollow. Great relief would have hated to pull up a real one, my boat was used to patrol the Thames Estuary looking for enemy parachute mines.

They looked like huge tank rounds, but I have no clue which WW2 British tanks would've been able to shoot something that big.

Magnet " fishing" should be forbidden in all the countrys were bloody Fritz dropped a load of eggs like in Belgium you need to request permission from the owner or manager of the water ,which it is to little if one of those should go of , then they maybe forbid it when it is to late . 🙄🙄👎👎
