The European Ku LNBs have the frequency 10.75 to 12.75 Ghz. Low Band is 10.75 - 11.75 Ghz and High Band is 11.75 - 12.75 Ghz.

Just curious how you felt about one of those multi-feed lnb brackets that goes on a dash
@NorthcoasterHobby2 жыл бұрын
I suppose it could work but would take some fine tuning. I’m not sure the signals are strong enough in North America to pull off more than 2-3 LNB’s, like other parts of the world.

@@NorthcoasterHobby thanks for your reply I'm in the lower 48 but I didn't see that as being really plausible since you know your dishes set to One direction how why would you need like 4 lmbs on the same dish

What kind of LNB must be determined when the receiver is connected to Multiswitch and Quatro LNB.

Do you mean the local oscillator frequency?

I remember back in 2018 when I was new into satellite TV and I added a couple of satellite and all of them were broadcasting only on Ku Band. And I was wondering why I have no signal on that satellite since the frequency, polarization and SR were correct. I clicked TP Scan, blind scan and I saw that the frequencies were for C Band and was wondering why the Ku Band have C Band frequencies since my LNB is Ku Band and scanned only half of channels? The conclusion was that I forgot to change to Universal instead of Standard at LNB Type. Beginners mistakes.

As an avid scanner listener I'm always learning because they keep changing the formats since most are digital nowadays big learning curve from analog. But now I'm trying to learn this satellite thing

@@red2965 Digital satellite television has more advantages than analog television. The picture is clear even during bad weather except cases of storm where it cuts out the signal but happens once or twice a year and lasts up to 1 hour. In case of snow you only have to clean the dish and LNB. A main advantage is with the diseqc switch. If you have multiple satellite dishes or use a toroidal satellite like Wavefrontier T-90 dish that can receive multiple satellites a switch allows you to receive all satellites on one cable. You can even have combination with C Band and Ku Band. On analog you can't use a switch so if you have 3 satellite dishes you must have 3 cables and it's annoying to connect and disconnect if you want to watch channels from a satellite. In analog days a motor was mandatory if you wanted to receive other satellites. In digital is very good to have a motorized dish and can install multiple fixed satellite dishes.

@@Nicholas_Chris I'd just like some consistency my terrestrial antenna is driving me nuts, what is watchable in the Day time won't be available at night. Thanks for clearing up the dish thing when I get my Lmb I will try with a dish or a direct TV dish. The sat box I got has everywhere except the US

So ..once i set the right frequency i see all channels..have to do this on both receivers? secondly will i have the issue of polarity? please tell me on the first what will be the settings of lnb and the second i have receiver .. than you so much sir!

I would like to eventually get, at least, a Ku band dish to play with, however I don't have the money right now.😢 For the time, at least, I have both yours & Robbie Strike's (The Happy Satellite Nerd) videos to watch.

Buy a 100 or 120 cm satellite dish, Ku Band LNB, a USALS H-H motor and a satellite receiver DVB-S2, if you find DVB-S satellite receivers don't buy them they are no longer used. I would also recommend a 4K satellite receiver, or at least an H.265 HD satellite receiver. If you want to connect to two or more TVs then you must buy an LNB with two outputs and two satellite receivers.
@Nicholas_Chris2 жыл бұрын
I recommend the AMIKO Mini 4K UHD S2X satellite receiver. If you are in North America make sure it's the North American model, because there are two models the European and the American model. The best receiver and also affordable for evereyone.

@@NorthcoasterHobby I have the combo version with both satellite and antenna/cable tunner, it's the best receiver. I also recommend the AMIKO A6 COMBO 4K receiver, you have both satellite receiver and an Android TV box (Android 7.1.2) it has all satellites available and you can use it as an android tablet.
