This is our trip report from day 7 of our canoe trip in Algonquin Provincial Park. Today would have us paddle across a wavy Cedar lake to visit one of the tallest waterfalls in the Park. After checking it out along a portage we headed back to our vehicle and began our long drive home.

Trip Report
Day 7 - 5 km
Welcome to Day 7 of our adventure! Be sure to check out our previous days, leading up to this point in our playlist. The beginning of this video takes you through a rough overview of our whole trip from start to finish. We started at the jump off site at the Brent Campground in Algonquin Park after a long drive up in the rain. On day two we paddled all the way across Cedar Lake to the Petawawa River and from there, we made our way to Radiant Lake. Day three to once again continued down the Petawawa River to Francis Lake where we stayed for two nights. We did some exploring of the area during our rest day and even visited Blueberry waterfalls. Day five we started our return trip home and made it to Radiant Lake. On our last full day in the park we made our home on an island on Cedar Lake.
That brings us to our final day in Algonquin Provincial Park. We packed up our tent slowly today as we did not really want to go home. Every moment we tried to soak in as we ate some Quaker Oatmeal on our own private beach campsite. It was the coolest morning yet so we were wearing all the clothes we brought with us. With the sun shining on us we decided that we were not done exploring the park and wanted to try and check out the tallest waterfall in Algonquin Park.
We packed all of our gear into our Swift 16 foot rental canoe and headed towards where the Petawawa River empties into Cedar Lake. The waterfall was along a portage between Narrowbag Lake and Cedar Lake and we had to walk almost one kilometre to find it. It certainly was not as tall as we thought it was going to be, but it was still a gorgeous waterfall to check out. After some pictures and a visit with a mink we headed back to our waiting canoe on the shore of Cedar Lake.
By this time in the day the lake was quite wavy and gave us some rough waters to cross. We paddled our way back to the Algonquin Outfitters dock where we thanks Jake Pigeon for the rental. If you ever have a chance to meet him, he is an awesome person with a ton of incredible stories about the park. Once back to our car we said one last goodbye to Cedar Lake before taking a long drive home.
