I never felt magic crazy as this I never saw moons knew the meaning of the sea I never held emotion in the palm of my hand Or felt sweet breezes in the top of a tree But now you're here Brighten my northern sky I've been a long time that I'm waiting Been a long time that I'm blown I've been a long time that I've wandered Through the people I have known Oh, if you would and you could Straighten my new mind's eye Would you love me for my money? Would you love me for my head? Would you love me through the winter? Would you love me 'til I'm dead? Oh, if you would and you could Come blow your horn on high I never felt magic crazy as this I never saw moons knew the meaning of the sea I never held emotion in the palm of my hand Or felt sweet breezes in the top of a tree But now you're here Brighten my northern sky

I played and sang this to my boyfriend almost 29 years ago- we've been married almost 28 years now! Thank you, God, for sending your beautiful angel Nick to us, if only for a too brief time. Lucky for us his wonderful gifts live on!

Debra His manager Joe Boyd says that Nick was the springboard to many love affairs and marriages. If his music can't inspire you and take your breath away I don't know what can.

A beautiful song.... and a tragic story. He made so many people happy with his music, but couldn't seem to find that happiness himself. As a result, he left this world all too soon... but perhaps this world just wasn't for him. It's one way of trying to understand something that didn't go well. Such a shining star, however brief. 😢❤

He left this world cause they changed his meds. He was happy at the time of his accidental suicide. They withdrew the medication from the market shortly after as nick wasn't the only one to accidentally overdose. I spoke to Gabriella his sister and she said he was used to taking many more sleeping pills than recommended. He has built up a tolerance and took two, and if he couldn't sleep, took two more and so on. Nothing ever happened. That was until he changed his medication. With the new stuff just a double dose could prove fatal. He hadn't swallowed many pills and there were lots left in the bottle. At the time it happened he was feeling particularly inspired and working on new stuff...so was finding it hard to shut off and sleep. I think people like the idea of suicide more, but I find the truth even more tragic. He had finally overcome depression only to die of an accidental overdose. Murphys law or something going on there. Noone who knew him personally thought it was suicide. Neither do I. Nice to know he was happy when he died ❤

@@pianissimo369 ...thanks for posting. I'm somewhat late to the party, really - moreso personal reflections of what that battle is like and speculation on my part. Perhaps you know how of a link/where to find an hour-long doc I once saw, that included interviews of his sister - I recall it ended w/ this song playing.
