Here is my NEW Proposed FEDERAL LAW... It shall be ILLEGAL for any Government (Federal, State, and Local Thiefdoms) to levy any TAX on any item that has already been TAXED.

Choose your poison the bottom line is that every city, county and state need xamount of dollars to build and maintain, pay personnel etc. If it wasn't the property tax it would be another type of tax. I think someone figured out long ago that trying to make people pay a huge amount for everything they decided to brake it down into smaller portions which was supposed to be more pallatable for taxpayers. If you take the time to look at all the taxes your paying for goods and services I think we are paying at least 50% if not more. I lived in NOVA and Loudon for years and when I retired I moved to Winchester Va and our property tax is lower 0.51 per $100 vs .865 for Loudoun. We pay more for water and sewer here than we paid in Loudoun. You are never going to get away from taxes but you can move out, get cheaper cars etc.

Agree--i like the car tax because if it was not for the car tax there would need to be higher income or sales taxes--the money has to come from somewhere. Car taxes are very easy to avoid if you don't need some ego-driven expensive car. I have a 10-year old town car and an older jeep and pay $200 per year and live in Arlington. It is a nothing-burger.

Damn, that's expensive. Yep and we gotta pay it because the County is very aggressive in their collections. Don't pay within 3 months? Well, you'll get a letter stating notice of lien and demand for payment that goes to the employer too and they can take 100% of the bill out of your wages.

What if the Home you own in Northern Virginia were you have to pay property tax for is a Second Home not your primary voting Resident which is in another State like Alabama, but you keep a vehicle that is lichened and registered in your voting State but remains parked at your Northern Virginia Second Home for when you're in town for work in Washington DC, do you still have to pay that car tax.

The tax is a scam but it's somewhat voluntary. These extremely high personal property taxes are why I drive cheap cars but clearly these high taxes aren't stopping most people.. half of NVA drives 50K+ cars it seems. My buddy was seriously considering a new corvette but by the time you pay for property taxes and insurance it's a ton of money to pay for a car you might drive 25 weekends per year. I am surprised the deep pocketed auto makers/dealers haven't hired an army of lawyers and lobbyist to get this tax lowered because it is absolutely hurting their sales to some extent.

*Now go look at your Electric Bill.* My Sisters Electric Bill for August 2024 (She also lives in Virginia - Dominion Virginia Power) 35% = actual electric usage. 50% = fees for distribution, transmission, & fuel. 15% = 6 fees for "Clean Energy", usage surcharge, state, & federal taxes. I can't wait to see what they ruling masters will do to my Water Bill & Gas Bill. *OMG... the Digital Dollar, because the fiat paper Chit you have in your wallet is not worth a damn thing.! So how is the Fiat Unseen Digital Dollar going to be worth anything? It Ain't!* *It is all about the Governments Power, Money, and Control of the proletariat.* *_FYI...
