That’s a great snowmobile it’s got a lot of power a real work horse, not some others i see on KZbin that are built for leisure. Keep it up great video very educational for someone doing winter logging.

Hello Cecil! You know what I think, you can make some kind of sleigh from the sheet of metal to put the ends of the logs on it, thus will let you more easier to pull long uncut logs on the snow and on the ground too. I saw some sort of such thing on somebody's channel made of plastic but you are very good guy in working with metal and not only :-)) Thus you will be able to take several logs at once. Cheers

That old sled is working some good, looks like it skips those logs out easily. Great job as usual.

good job guys that was a nice load of logs Cecil you reminded of my father when I was a kid and that wasn't yesterday we would be in the woods and want to use the pulp hook and he would tell the story of Cortney Little up the road from us he lost and eye he was loading wood on a truck by hand and swung the hook and it glanced and hit his eye so big story put that made me think of Dad telling us to be careful with the pulp hook thanks for sharing have a great night
@SkinnersHomesteading3 жыл бұрын
Hello Tom. Thank you very much. That would make a person want to be careful using a pulp hook for sure. Thanks again. You have a great evening. Cheers.

Just a suggestion...... Take a can of red spray paint and paint a ring around the top of the right rear standard for your bob sled. Paint two red rings around the left rear standard. Do the same with a contrasting color on the front standards. Make sure you pick colors that you can see. You will never get the standards mixed up again. Cheers! Whipple

It’s always good to see a fitter like myself work with what you have got. Our advantage as fitters we can do anything to make something work better. The old ski as you explain is a real workhorse and how you explain the way you snig the logs out is just a fitters brain working which makes all the sense in the world. I like to fiddle around with mechanical things to create something that works. I do have a KZbin channel and I fiddle around with lumps of rusty steel to create something. My website is not on the same scale of yours but it’s about making something that works. If you like you can goto my channel and have a look. GaryPArmstrong is my KZbin channel and you see a mini example of you at making do.
