NL is quite right to wonder about the Vtubers cuz if you look at the regular streamers and content creators when they pop off they do it for a long time but in the Vtuber scene lots of super popular vtuber quit after a couple of years. I guess the main reason is Vtubers are in essence employees whereas streamers are their own boss. Due to the high cost of models and maintenance to keep their channels running most successful Vtubers join a Corp and thus become subject to all sorts of rules and limitations. So while Pokimane can do whatever she wants cuz she is now extremely successful Selen the vtuber spends months working on a cover only for management to forbid her from releasing that cover. And I guess the more successful you are the less tolerance you have for all these rules and regulations. At some point it can get too much and so the talent behind the Vtuber model starts looking at other options whether that's to go Indie or to go to another company with better terms and treatment hence the graduations. Meanwhile streamers don't really face these situations so they only stop streaming when they fall off or develop other priorities.
