Back in vanilla, Cain had a massive advantage due to guaranteed plays on fortune-telling machines, an increased win rate on the shell game beggar, and positive pills only. Later, in Rebirth, Cain was hit with a big nerf, with the gambling buff and the pill buff removed. The advantage went to Judas, whose Book of Belial was somehow buffed to give 100% deal with devil chance if used on a boss room. Later, in Afterbirth, Cain was given the paperclip if unlocked in Greed Mode, giving him a new buff and advantage.

Lilith has been in the game as long as I have been playing it, thus I find it frustrating when experienced players complain about her or play poorly using her. Mind you, getting two useless items in a row is a bad way to start any Lilith run. The biggest mistake in this run was not taking little brimstone! Also taking Number 2 as Lilith was actually a terrible idea! Between positioning and dodging with Incubus it greatly increases your chances of getting hit by your own bombs compare to other characters. Side note: Curse Eye is actually a top tier item for Lilith as the teleporting side effect is nullified. (I know it didn't come up in this video, I am just pointing out the differences between Lilith an other characters.)

This is probably just me but i feel like Lilith is actually easier to play with than other characters... hear me out. Once you get used to having to shoot with a familiar its basically like playing with any other character... EXCEPT you start with 2 demon hearts and a red heart so 100% you can take the first devil deal you come across and it makes it a lot easier to get strong fast assuming you get lucky with your deals. Also since you're using a familiar to shoot with you aren't directly in front of attacks such as the haunts brimestone beam and you aren't as close to enemies that chase you down as the familiar is in front of you because its your only way to deal damage... so theoretically you should take less damage playing as Lilith as other characters because you aren't standing directly in front of enemies Edit: Oh i forgot to even mention box of friends! it semi doubles your damage output and you start with the item

Personally I hate taking any familiars that follow behind you as Lilith. It causes the doubled Incubi from Box of Friends to get all stupidly spaced out. Yes, even Lil' Brimstone falls under those familiars I don't want. Unless I have BFFs, maybe.
