57:00 i may be wrong but if he used the scry before the draw and scried out all of the non-block cards and then played all his block cards with the bonus vigilance that he would've gotten then he would've survived that turn with exactly 1 hp

he couldve scried through kept the defend and discarded void, he would drawn defend, trip, and vigilance, with third eye defend and vigilance he would have 25 block, with no other block cards he would just barely die, tungsten rod only reduces unblocked damage by 1, so first hit is 14, 11 block, second hit is 14 minus 1 so hes on 13 health, last hit barely lethal, no way out of it, only way out was a luck dead branch block

43:12 on that enemy it is best to stay in Wrath because it reduces his strength by the amount you hit for. His strength is doubled to get the amount he hits for. I.e. if he has 60 strength he hits for 120. You need to do only 60 damage to make him do 0 damage.

I came back to slay the spire since I started watching your videos. I'm finishing the Ascension climbs for the defect and The watcher. My defect is at Ascension 17, and The watcher is at Ascension 6 or 7. It's amazing how much the difficulty spikes with each Ascension level after 14.

Damn what an incredibly well played run. But that last turn may be proof of concept why you don't take Velvet Choker on Watcher. Imo between miracles, cards that require other cards to be played first, calm and divinity giving more energy, stance swapping, retain, etc, Watcher just plays too many cards to be limited to 6/turn

Its tough to say if it was the wrong call here, i cant remember what the other boss relics were and I'm too lazy to check, but i think having that extra energy was what got him to the final fight in the first place. For the record though i agree its the biggest handicap for the watcher compared to the other characters, this may have just been a cursed run..

Absolutely cracked run, but one piece of advice-when fighting the transient, keep in mind that the impact of strength lost is doubled while you're in wrath. Obviously it's still risky if you're in a situation where you need to block, but if you're attacking staying in wrath stance the whole battle is a very powerful strategy.
