How is it risky, exactly? Just genuinely curious, I'm not great at this game, but 1 tile wide seems more risky imo because only one piece can fit in the space. 2 tile is more flexible in the pieces you can use to bring the tower down

NL, when using a long piece to build you should put it next to what you already have build. What you usually do is put it one away from what you have build and now you need another long piece to fill that gap, then you get more options. You could put another long piece next to it like you planned or you can find another solution if one doesn't show up. Sorry for back-seating.
