There is another bus stop parent that I think would be fun to hang out with but I haven't had the courage to try to put myself out there to make a dad friend. dude, it's devastating how bad people are at showing up for those things. maybe it's because my family is new(er) to the area and we don't exactly fit the mold, but we've got a bunch of kids under 6yo, and even though our kids and their kids might hit it off, you try to get the parents to show up for stuff... so crappy. I get that it's F-ZERO, but it would be hilarious if Nintendo added a lot more customization options like racer skins from other IPs like Mario Kart or Starfox, or even Metroid. In past games, they had James McCloud as a racer and his arwing was retrofitted to be a racing vehicle for example.

Don't get me wrong, I get it. I just don't understand why anyone would be nostalgic for this version of F Zero. The people who like F Zero, really like the N64 and the GameCube versions. I've never heard of anyone so much as praising the SNES game, except to say that it was good for its time and was completely overshadowed by the rest of the series. This just feels really antiquated and seems to exist in order to recycle old assets

Additionally, I genuinely think the 99 framing improves this game so much. It adds a come-back mechanic, and a bunch of chaos.

@@casanovafunkenstein5090 I can give you my own anecdote. I have tried to play both the original on Snes and GX on Gamecube, and neither of them clicked with me at all. This one, however, has me totally addicted. Would it have been better with GX visuals? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, it would have been too taxing to have a "99" game like that for the Switch console. This game has gotten me into the franchise. And i know im not alone.
