My best guess for using that was to place it on a unit on the third floor on a boss fight. 11:35 You laugh at the permafrost, but there is a card from the concealed caverns I believe that restores 5 pyre health at the end of your turn when you draw it. If you can apply permafrost to it, you will restore 5 pyre health every single turn for the rest of combat.

Yo, NL, I had a run with tons of those emberdrain cards where I went for card draw, and 0 cost cards, and then went purge-heavy. With the trample champion, it was really powerful! The trick is that those emberdrain cards have a lot of power for a 0 mana card. If you don't have any worthwhile cards that cost energy, it's totally fine. And one of those emberdrain cards actually gives you a bit of energy, so you can still get away with having a couple cards in your deck with an associated mana cost. The trick is that once you play all the minions in your deck, you just cycle spells constantly. If the few spells you have are all the emberdrain cards or otherwise 0 cost cards, it's actually great. You can draw most of your remaining deck every turn, and stack up crazy numbers. My trample champion had well over 150 rage, 30 lifesteal, and 40 damage shield on the final turn against the Seraph, on Crucible 6.

This is a lot better than the early episodes that I could barely watch. Just a couple tips for the umbra: upgrading capacity while using morsel maker is sometimes pointless cause the morsels make you go over capacity anyway with the damage shield morsel relic, you might not even want anything in front of morsel maker because then the damage shield becomes useless when you continued to play the free morsel card in the second fight, you were making your draws worse because you're essentially drawing 1 useless card each turn

Hey NL, lil' tip, don't overrate capacity upgrade ! When you see your floor stacked you have to ask yourself "what does +1 capacity brings ?" because with morsels you can overstack by +2 or +3 and adding one capacity make your floor still full and you cannot do anything with it. the same goes for morsel production, 3 morselmakers fill your all floors so cards that makes morsels are useless once the rooms are full !

An idea you may want to consider in the future is playing your undesirable train stewards onto a floor where they will be immediately destroyed It prevents them from becoming a dead draw later in the battle.

Even if you fill capacity the morsel maker will continue to summon 2 morsels every turn unless there are 7 units on the floor *NOT 7 capacity but 7 units. The summon ability of the morsel maker allows for an over capacity floor as long as you summon your second unit before the morsels are summoned and fill the required capacity. The same thing happens with the MorselMaster (I think thats the one that summons a clone of the morsel) who allows for an over capacity summon if the capacity left afterwards is at an odd number.

Love the monster train. Emberdraing Spells in umbra are good on the final wave turns (as you said). Permafrost on those spells is super nice because you can hold on the spells and guarantee you have them for the boss turns

Even better is to create a deck of mostly 0 cost cards so that you can get the benefit of the emberdrain cards and just play them anyway. You get to play all your units initially, then when you're ready: emberdrain on. Blast em. Best of all is you get to laugh at the emberdrain gilded wing enemy as he shamefully scuttles his way the heck out of the train.

You should not disrespect permafrost. Use it for spells that are fantastic when used at the right time- like emberdrain spells or sap spells that give you an advantage against specific bosses. Use it to keep an emergency reform, or an upgraded torch spell when you need to be able to dust back- row enemies
