Just a note on Resin Removal, and buffs/debuffs in general: the game is really good about telegraphing these things. Red icons below the unit (Frostbite, Sap, Spell Weakness) are debuffs. Green icons (Lifesteal, Damage Shield, Regen, even Spikes) are buffs. Those will be affected by Resin Removal, and that version of Seraph that removes buffs/debuffs. you want your best damage dealing units to die the most so by the time tho boss rolls around they have a high enough burnout that they can hang in there for a few rounds of combat if you protect your best unit they will have only burnout 1 so they only get to attack once against the boss also think of holdover as draw -1 for the next turn some cards are worth it but if you go with too many holdovers you end up having almost no draw which has fricked you on a couple of runs

NL, a tip! Just because the unit burns out in one turn doesn't mean you should put it in the front to die! You should put it in the back so it doesn't die in one hit and does damage. Put a low burnout in the front with high health since they can tank and will die quickly anyway. Additionally, you often put your multistrike units in the front since you just saw they had burnout 1. Put them in the back so they get more work done while the other units die in front. Loving the series keep it up!

Theory crafting time: Is Awoken Hollow OP as hell with the Melting? Think about it: 1 mana 15/15 that has summon: gain 60 max life. Usually you try and heal that life, but with melting, you can just kill it off, and revive it as a 15/75 with the same summon effect (because the unit you are reviving keeps the max life buff). Basically, each time you revive it, you get an extra 60 health in addition to the +5/+5 you get from reviving it. Seems like a game-winning combo for bosses.
@joshuadu23084 жыл бұрын
Though it may seem like Awoken Hollow is OP with melting, 60 health is actually not that much and the reason you would want to take such units is if you have consistent healing to actually upgrade them. Though you can use the max heal Awoken card (don't remember the name) bosses will usually smash through the hollow in 2 or 3 turns once reached, which means you're only getting a small amount of damage from the unit if you're going to continuously revive it. Melting/Umbra is an optimal combo imo. Morsels -> Harvest can smash, Bounty Stalker gets ridiculously powerful from the Umbral lifesteal cards, the Umbra fuel unit gets a huge power spike from enhancements and formless child, etc. The thing is, though, formless child is only really viable there when you have solid control o'er reforms. Melting in general is just kind of busted since you can eventually unlock a card that removes burnout AND debuffs from a unit, unlock one where you can proc the extinguish effect w/o the unit's death (crazy with the artifacts that double extinguish or apply armor when units die)
@goiflin50564 жыл бұрын

Extremely fun run. The melting remnant remain my favorite faction in both visual and gameplay design. In the future, you may want to try getting a powerful unit like the Animus killed early and often, so you can reform it multiple times. Each reform trigger on a unit adds more burnout, so an Animus that died three times would come back with burnout 3 and - with those stats - enough time to destroy just about any boss. Not that it mattered in this case. Congrats on Covenant 6!
@erike354 жыл бұрын
Yo egg! Don't underestimate the power of burnout +3!! Remember how your Animus kept dying to soon, because you buffed it with enough health to survive slaugtherhouse and it only had 1 stack of burnout after? That buff can make or break a run when used correctly, primarily by permafrosting the card and using it on your powerfloor last round!
@Lucario25644 жыл бұрын
Really enjoy the runs with that faction. Thank you
@petro123694 жыл бұрын
Wickless tycoon has much more value if you just stack him with like 4 dreg/draff units, since the gold triggers on allies and enemies. You can potentially kill enemies (especially if you have something like a glimmer), keep cycling burnout units there to build up better burnout units. Throw them in front as well, if they're going to die from burnout anyway, might as well make 'em take a hit. That goes for other floors as well, just throw casual dreg units in front just to soak a hit.

@SlavaRybka4 жыл бұрын
This time Memento Mori saved your hide, but there is a major strategy flaw: if you keep your best unit alive on the bottom floor for the whole fight, you then reform it to live 1 turn on floor 2 and 2 turns on floor 3. You HAVE to let it die to stack burnrouts in advance, even if you don't need the +5 +5 it gets. Also, notice that Formless Child applies "return" not "reform", so it does not give units burnout, for better or worse.

The Rector with the Reform ability is an interesting conundrum actually. You don't always want him on the top floor because then he always triggers first so you have to wait a turn to get units reformed But you don't always want him on the bottom floor either because he's not very tanky, but he'll reform units that died that turn that way. I'm still not 100% sure what the best way to use him is. I think ideally you'd get the reform ability, and then upgrade him with Burnout mod so he's tankier and put him on the bottom floor.

I believe the reason you aren't getting as many units as you thought is due to your champion being on the top floor. Top floor acts first and thus the champion reforms whatever is currently dead - in most cases 1 or nothing. Then when all your units die on the bottom floor, you can only bring them back the turn after through Moulded. It seems like the Reforming ability of Recktor Flicker is best used on the bottom floor. Personally I don't know as I haven't played many games with that clan
