Dozens of cards you wanna be drawing instead of Backstab by the time act 3 rolls around, it does not adequately compensate you for the draw real estate it asks for. The stand-out innate card is Afterimage but paying an upgrade to make that innate is a steep price, haven't done it in ages.

my favorite cards to work with nightmare are neutralize, catalyst, footwork and blade dance. In multicolor situations it works really well with Body slam, Zap+, Buffer, Miracle and prostrate.
