For duality, if you *touch* any red chest on the floor, the game decides Angel OR Devil deal at that moment and will only spawn that door. TL;DR don't touch red chests while you have duality until AFTER seeing the doors

The way Duality is currently bugged is that if you open a red chest, it will automatically prevent the angel door to spawn (probably because the chest can teleport you to a devil deal even if it doesn't)

As far as working on a long weekend and taking a different day off instead, some places will totally let you do that. I do it from time to time, and like you said, it's pretty great. I get way more done in an empty office + using that day to take a long weekend when other people don't have one makes it much more pleasant to actually go out and do stuff.
