You would be so surprised how insane people can be.... Example? Havent spoken to my father in 9 years. Why? Because once at his and his new wife's house during christmas, i farted in the kitchen as they were preparing dinner. This was apparently so extremely rude that i was never again invited any following Christmas, because of my "rude behavior in the kitchen". "But thats so obviously fake, that cant have happened, you must have been an absolute ass at that christmas and insulted people and thrown tantrums and there must have been enormous baggage in your family that just culminated in that event?" No man. Had a great relationship with my dad, no conflicts. Until that 1 moment. Entire 30 year history of a great relationship with my father, thrown in the gutter for no other reason than his new wife deciding i was rude for having a gassy outleak in the kitchen (after eating their sour cabbage mind you). You have no clue when even the closest family member just suddenly out of the blue decides to break all family ties for literally zero reason. You cant predict this shit man. 19:20 My rented house actual did have its plumbing get ruined, by the previous tenants flushing papertowels. Excavation into the yard and dismantling the pipes, revealed paper towels en masse, moulded into an orb a bit bigger than my hands and feet combined, still encapsulated in the piping even a year after the previous tenants flushed them. It caused such janky damage that, whenever snow would melt, the indoors would flood from melted water getting backed up, escaping the pressure by exiting though the indoor piping. The paper towels managed to have been blocking BOTH of the two “in case of melting snow” funnels that led outdoors. So yeah, I DID look at you like, you had two days to live, when you mentioned that.

Like... if there's ever a person making such a complaint, please understand they are simply flustered by their immature inability to not be so damn prudish! like, I literally showered daily with my ex husband DAILY. Because we got up at the same time and would get ready for the day simultaneously. It made sense to simply shower together to save time and water and because it is/was a genuinely nice bonding thing to do together for sure! And it was definitely not sexual like 80% of the time hahaha. We also did indeed do that due to one or the other being sick or risk a fall (usually me as I am the clumsiest person alive, my poor ex was such a trooper to make sure I stayed safe!). We also had a friggin BADASS huge standing shower that had a bench built in on the wall. It was an option the homebuilder offered and since I had just had knee surgery, this was the perfect choice.

It seems so incredibly insane to think you deserve a free first class seat just because. I'd be grateful if my spouse's parent's bought me a ticket at all. Why the fuck is everyone acting so entitled about this?

@@papabaddad It's not that OP is entitled to a first-class seat. It's that she is entitled to fair treatment by her husband's family. Imagine if they were siblings instead of a married couple. Giving one child preferential treatment over the other is unfair, and an asshole thing to do. The solution here was to buy two coach tickets, which would have been cheaper and fairer, and wouldn't have caused this mess to begin with. Obviously OP is the biggest AH in this situation for how she reacted, but she definitely had cause to feel slighted, especially if this is part of a larger pattern of passive-aggressive behavior by her MIL.

Agreeing with NL 100% until he drops the *absolutely batshit insane* take that showering together non-sexually is weird 🤣

Clearly the husband didn't care that much either. Guarantee you he could've gotten a seat in economy with his wife by giving up his seat. EVERYBODY sucks here

surely a child falling off a scooter warrants a bigger reaction from an onlooker than a 2 year-old falling on their butt NL
