As someone with the expertise that comes only with the almost a month's worth of chess experience that I possess, some of these games were painful to watch, and it makes me question the integrity of the chess rating system when I can call out the winning plays well ahead of these players who are rated 1300-1500. Although I also recognize that watching it is way different from playing it. Nonetheless, loving the chess content. Hope we see a return of FTL next.

I enjoy watching NL play games that he's better at than me. In SAP I slip too easily into the stereotypical backseating KZbin commenter role, but in chess I'm only a 700 so I generally just assume that any given move that he makes is better than whatever I would've done.

@@TheAmorphousGamer I disagree with more games = more fun when the quality of the games is C tier at best and he resigns 10 moves in half the time
@TheAmorphousGamer
@TheAmorphousGamer Жыл бұрын
@@a2rhombus2 It doesn't matter what you agree or disagree with, he has more fun this way. And it's easy to see why: When he's having a bad game he just resigns. When he's having a good game he plays it through, gets the dopamine from the win, and jumps straight into another one. It maximizes the number of wins and minimizes the amount of time spent losing.
