The meta gaming aspect of GeoGuesser is its biggest flaw, imo. So many countries where you literally just look at the Google car or the sky and it's already game over.

@@keith3946 it at least gives it a meta of some kind, so that can be a good thing, makes it more game-ified. Idk though cuz I'm mixed on whether or not I'm fine with stuff like that. It does feel a little like you aren't engaging with the original or initial concept of "use the environment to determine your location", but it arguably is a variation of that. (Edit: sorry for long post, just read top paragraph if you don't wanna read more, it's enough) I wanna say I'm leaning towards fine with it, mainly because of a combination of 2 issues. The first is that a lot of that stuff is accidental, caused by a lack/addition of certain technology (snorkel on the car) or modes of transportation (guy with selfie stick rather than camera car). I don't know who you'd even hold responsible for that, if anybody. That leads in to the second issue, how would you fix these things if you wanted to? Other than re-recording in those areas with a more standard camera vehicle, you could maybe fix the rift in the sky with software or camouflage the camera vehicle more completely. I'm not sure how much work the software route would take but certainly having to re-record video across multiple countries/islands would definitely be a significant endeavor. I'm inclined to just accept the existence of these "faults" and tolerate their inclusion because of those issues, *AND* because it does help worse players compete a bit better with players of higher skill or more knowledge. I suppose it's subjective whether or not you tolerate or accept that that occurs. Every game to some extent has content or mechanics (or exploits) that are not fully fleshed out until players get time to engage with it, and then as a result, those things are hard to learn about unless someone tells you about them (or you unintentionally stumble across them yourself during your sessions). It is a somewhat unavoidable occurrence, hence the development of "metas".

Rewound, found the Chervin Ct street sign. Turns out that's in Windsor Junction, which borders the abformentioned Lower Sackville on the northeast. :P
