I still think you always upgrade Zap first as Defect. On the first floor, it's kinda like free energy every 2-3 shuffles. EDIT: also helps to look at your entire path before committing to it. They added this feature called "scrolling" to the map, I've seen it in other software programs like Notepad and Internet Explorer 6 it works great on any monitor but makes you dizzy sometimes

NL, I'm not sure that you understand the Gremlin Leader pattern. The upshot is that killing his minions makes it less likely that he'll buff his little dudes or hit you with his big attack. From the wiki, and I really want you to think about this next time you fight him, because I think it will help some of this talk of "there's no point killing the little dude": When there are 0 other enemies, will have a 75% chance of using Rally! and a 25% chance of using Stab. When there is 1 other enemy, will have a 50% chance of using Rally!, 30% chance of using Encourage and 20% chance of using Stab. When there's 2 or 3 other enemies, will have 66% chance of using Encourage and a 34% chance of using Stab. Cannot use the same move twice in a row.

This is true, and it would've, in this specific circumstance, saved him. However, the real misplay is killing the minion that was holding seek. He needed to keep that minion alive and then kill it on either the safe turn or the hyperbeam turn to guarantee getting buffer, since he could just seek it if something went wrong.

It's in reference to the episode where George realizes he dislikes how things are going so he decides to make opposite choices and then things start going better for him (until he makes the mistake of reverting back to his original thought process on a choice). So NL says it when he decides to pick things that he normally wouldn't (or rather when he starts just picking stuff at random).

This defect deck looks extremely similar to the last several dozen of defect decks you've lost with. :l Also, why wouldn't you take Runic Dome? You're going to be playing the grand majority of your cards in a specific way anyway, regardless of what the enemy is doing. If you're frost focus for example, you're going to be spamming out frost regardless of if the enemy is attacking or defending. You are really, really, really criminally underrating how great Runic is. The drawback of not seeing enemy intention hardly matters if your deck already has a specific gameplan. Plus for all the hours you have in the game, you should already have a grasp on the enemy patterns.
