The Cichlid Shack Hey brother. I didn't realize you changed your KZbin name. I've been out of the game for a while. I'll have to catch up with you. Thanks for watching!

Good plug...Jay definitely is passionate and his tank speaks for itself. I mainly feed my fish Omega and I have Northfin at home too. My fish look pretty insane off the Omega so when I feed Northfin any changes are subtle. Keep us updated with your progress using it....you've been around the hobby along time so your opinion is important :)

Mbuna Marcus - Aquariums, Cichlids and More Thanks bud. I'll definitely give an update after the fish have been on NF for a while. I also fed Omega One Super Color Cichlid Pellets with great results as far has fish health and coloration are concerned. The small particles in the water column were substantial compared to NF. Before Omega One I fed NLS Thera A exclusively for about a year. NLS is a great food too, but I kept having to clean the mechanical filter pads in my sump more often than with Omega One. I have notice that the NF has allowed me to extend replacing or cleaning the pads for a couple more days than even the Omega One. Heck, when I first started in this hobby I fed Tetra's Doro Min, and that stuff was extremely messy. We've come a long way since then. I know that all of the foods mentioned above are adequate at keeping our fish alive, healthy, and colorful, but I've been searching for a food for a while now that makes my life a little easier too.

Sounds good...I loved NLS too but I did find that I had more waste. 10 years ago I really loved the HBH product but they fell off after I felt they gained some market share and didn't keep their product consistent. Those old foods are hilarious....I used Nutrifin because I couldn't afford the "good stuff" made by Tetra lol. Wardley and Hartz were also big up here....I'm thankful that we have good options now. I was actually surprised how well Xtreme foods worked also :) I think I'm going to supplement with Northfin Kelp though...product ingredients and smell can't be beat :)

Mbuna Marcus - Aquariums, Cichlids and More cyberaquarist I agree. NF is really good. I started feeding The Krill and Cichlid formula, In 4 days my Lwandas were coloured up. As to were they did not show any colour prior. Ingredients are some of the best I've seen. I have also heard that the Ingredients are listed using dry material. Which is impressive if true.Thw only food that seems to cloud is the Kelp Wafers but no worse then any other kind. Some of the food i watched being made on HOw its Made looked like sawdust compared to Nf

Great stuff. And that shirt is the most comfortable shirt in my closet. I know I sound like a commercial but it's all true. Glad to see it gets the Cyber approval.

Yeah bud. The shirt is my favorite. It almost feels like merino wool. The order was a win win. Something for my fish, and something for me for a change. Lol

tank looks awesome. i kmow you just started to feed northfin, but have noticed the africans producing less waste? ive heard this but wanted to hear your experience and opinion on the matter.
@cyberaquarist9 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro! I have never really noticed much waste even before feeding Northfin. However, my mechanical pads are lasting several days longer before having to be changed. I assume that means there is indeed less waste.
@Bandicoot19369 жыл бұрын
thanks for the reply. i feed nls exclusively, but have been wanting to try north fin. i notice some floating particles sometimes, but i have a lot of current. i dont have to vacuum the sand. keeps waste in the water column for the fx6 to clean up
