I was raised in a baptist church and saved every Sunday. I'm 51 now and and just started to understand who Jesus is 4 years ago, who he really is. God. My prayer for a few years has been Jesus please forgive me of my sins. I found one of your sermons yesterday on believing the gospel and lordship salvation. I am now a believer in Jesus Christ and what he did for me on the cross. Thank you thank you. God bless you

Your story is my story! We're even the same age! Wow, how much the devil stole my joy all those years while I was unknowingly in unnecessary bondage to bad doctrine. Thank God I now KNOW I'm saved and desire to know my Savior better and to live for Him every day, thru His power! So grateful for the few teachers out there like this who are teaching the truth, but unbelievably saddened now that I realize how this has factored into the current state of the church. Everyone, read your Bible so you will know the truth it teaches and don't be deceived by false teachers! Simply trust Jesus and what He did on the cross for you and be eternally saved, truly free!! God bless you all!

I spent years in doctrinal doubt and confusion by stuff being added to the gospel (Calvinism, Arminianism, Lordship salvation etc). Thank you for teaching the Word and the simplicity of faith in Christ. I need His sacrifice in my behalf and choose to trust that he personally died and rose in my place, because apart from Jesus there is no other way.

Good news for us - Our eternal salvation is based on what Jesus did FOR us; not our own performance. 👍 He made the payment IN FULL for every sin we would ever commit. Therefore, there’s nothing left to pay for - if we believe that He did it FOR us. 👍🙏

If you haven’t already, search for Trojan Horse: Calvinism By this pastor, Tom Cacuzza. It’s the most clear sermon on the false nature of Calvinism I have ever heard. By the end of his message, you should have no doubt that what you were taught in the Calvinist church was wrong! And, his message is based on the Bible, in context! Not cherry picked scriptures twisted out of context. Hope this helps. It was a real blessing.

I have noticed that many LSers will try to avoid the accusation of gaining salvation by works by redefining faith. They say that 'saving' faith is not by works but through a change of 'heart attitude/posture' away from a 'sinful lifestyle', accompanied by a change of affection or allegiance towards God (of course all evidenced by works!) Most know that they can't claim to be sinless so they admit that they will still sin sometimes but will automatically have a continuous want or desire to serve God because they have a been given a 'new heart' (new covenant scripture out of context). I don't know how they measure whether or not their good intentions are enough! Their doctrine ignores the sufficiency of Christ's payment on the cross and the concept of imputed righteousness.
@krisjustin38843 жыл бұрын
Yes, ‘narrow is the way that leads to life.’ Mt 7:14. Too narrow for pride and self- righteousness. Too narrow for our works, even our best. It is only wide enough to allow our faith in Christ’s finished work at the cross to save us. Indeed the way is very narrow!

“Behold I come quickly” means that when Christ comes to rescue the surviving believers He will do it quickly. It doesn’t mean the Rapture is imminent…like it could happen at any time. There are indeed things that have to happen first and the church will indeed enter the 70th Week but will be raptured just before the Day of the Lord begins at some point during the second half of the 7 years.

How many people are going to spend eternity in hell because they didn’t “read the next verse”? Example is Matthew 7:21. If they’d just read verses 22 and 23, maybe they would’ve gotten it. They put their faith in their favorite false teacher, who cherry-picked and twisted a verse out of context, and never bothered to peel it back themselves. Acts 17:11, KJV “These (the Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

Love these sermons. Can someone please help me understand a verse? In Mark 13:13 KJV And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. What exactly does the scripture mean by "endure". Thank you and God bless.
@Northlandchurchstc10 ай бұрын
Mark 13 is talking about the tribulation. Those that endure (can mean to remain or to bear bravely and calmly) to the end of the tribulation will be saved/delivered out of it into the millennium. See Pastor's commentary for more detail. www.secureforever.org/mark13

This is an important verse. Faith in what? His blood for our sins, per 1 Cor 15:1-4. This is the Gospel of Christ...Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand 2 By which also ye are SAVED, IF ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Then Paul further says in Gal 1:8-9...But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” That includes John 3:16.

Is there something wrong with trying not to sin?
@NorthlandchurchstcАй бұрын
No, the Bible is very clear that we should not sin, even after we have eternal life. Romans 6 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? It's just important for people to understand though, that eternal life is obtained by trusting that Jesus Christ made the payment for our sins. Not by trying to stop sinning or doing good works. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. God never wants us to sin but unfortunately as long as we are alive we will continue to sin.

I have a question? Is it a sin too have an argument with your spouse? As a single guy I hear some couples get in fusses arguments I think to myself? Are they sinning? Because if you listen to the lose your salvation crowd they make it sound like you gotta walk a tight line that even means no fussing arguing with your spouse every now and then. You'll be surprised how many spouses attend church going to church fussing and arguing. Leaving church fussing and arguing you can't even tell that they've been to church. Most of them don't even bring the praise and worship home meaning the lifestyle reality. That's why I asked this question is fussing and arguing with your spouse considered a sin?
@jjsmoley3 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on their inwardly attitude toward each other. If what they display on the outside is what they feel toward each other on the inside then it's probably sin. If there is any amount of hate towards each other then it would be sin. Here's what God says on the matter in Ephesians 5:22-31. 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
@Songbird5553 жыл бұрын
We do get into arguments. And whether it's a sin or not? I don't know? But we do sin. We try to make it right. Not to be saved, to be in a right relationship! I guess that goes both ways. You ask your wife to forgive you if it's your fault. Just as you would ask your heavenly Father to forgive if you sin, so that you stay in right relationship with him, not to be saved!
@adamsachs3 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s a sin. Even anger is considered murder in God’s eyes - Matthew 5:21-22. The important thing to remember is the grace and forgiveness of God to all who believe the gospel - that Christ died for all of our sins (including arguing with our spouse), was buried and rose from the dead on the third day - 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. The instant you you believe that gospel you are sealed with the Holy Spirit which is the guarantee of your salvation - Ephesians 1:13-14.

I find it's either their pride, or they have heard a false "gospel" in the past. Sadly, most people will hold onto their pride until they lift up their eyes... Good works do not save, water baptism does not save, faithfulness does not save, obedience does not save, submission does not save, "endure until the end" does not save, "repent of your sins" does not save, limited atonement does not save, Lordship damnation does not save, etc. Only JESUS CHRIST saves! ✝️ Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. (Acts 16:30-31) Moreover brethren, I declare unto you The Gospel which I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, by which you are saved; if you hold it fast-unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: How that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
